Flight out of here was late... When we flew over and saw the strip, my frustrations were almost gone. My sister had never flown in, so it was cool to see her expression! We checked into the Bellagio around 12:00 am. Great room with fountain view. I was tired, but my sister roped me into bumping around for awhile. I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't gamble until tomorrow, with a better mindset and good rest! Day 2: So much for rest... I woke up at 7:00 after getting to bed around 3:30. Standard for me, but my sister isn't used to the am hours. So, I went into my "Big Brother" bag of tricks and decided on the old "Throw water on your little sister" gag. She wasn't pleased as I was laughing my a$$ off! We had talked about food, she is Vegan. For those of you who don't know about the Vegan lifestyle, she basically can't eat anything. I wanted Paris for breakfast and she basically filled up on fruit and other stuff. I told her then I wasn't paying for her meals anymore. After we were both stuffed, she uttered those wonderful words... "Brother, teach me how to play craps!" I almost teared up! We started at the Paris, but it was cold and after about $100 gone in 30 minutes she wanted to go back to the Bellagio. Her wish was my command, we went back there. It was sort of crowded so we hit the $10 table. 6 other people were there, a good mix from the middle aged woman to the guy in the late 80's Metallica shirt. I explain the basics to her, just like I did on the plane. Passline, odds, and place the 6 and 8. First roller, Triple X Tex is what I called him after seeing the way he looked at the waitresses. XXX established the 6 and immediately rolled the seven afterwards. Was this the Paris again? Man, I hoped not! He apologized and the next lady rolled. I am a BIG believer in woman rollers. I once saw a woman roll 7 7's in a row (almost as amazing as my 6 6's! ) after that I swore to bet higher on the ladies. Well, after she rolled her 6, we doubled the place bet on the 8 and she rolled a 5, 9, 10, 4 then.... 7.... Ouch! Well, my sister just glared at me as they pulled our chips to put on the "mountain" next to them. Up, down, up, down, down.... It got to me and I was down $250 and knew I had to make a move! I announced to the table the my sister was new to craps and I would avenge this crap by rolling for 30 minutes AT LEAST!!!! They all cheered back, which was rather suprising, and the good time began. 40 minutes later, we were all high fiving, cheering, and the wave even made an appearance! I was solid, I looked down and I had a little over two grand in front of me. My sister had more because she bet the hardways crazy, and not to mention the $25 yo's I was getting for her. I then told her, that this was a wave and it wasn't always like this. She grabbed the dice and went to work. She said she wanted to up her bet, but I advised her not to. Her first roll? Both dice off the table! The boss looked at her from the rim of his glasses with a terrible look on his face, then died laughing! Her next roll, 10, was rolled on the next throw. So much for my advice and she went bigger. I stayed at $25 on the pass, just didn't have a great feeling. I was wrong. 20 minutes later, she was up another 2 grand and another one for me. We colored up and tipped the dealers $200 each (her idea .) It was so exciting to see her looking so happy. She thought she could beat anything! And I was happy I was up like $2500 in the first session! She wanted to go and play some slots, and I watched her lose almost $500 in about an hour. Her comp rate was rather good, but she was sour about losing! She wanted to go shopping, so we rented a car and went to the Outlet stores. She bought a cheap suitcase and filled it with new clothes almost. Damn, I guess I missed the "shopping gene." It was later in the day and she wanted to go downtown. We stopped at a health food store and she bought some really funky stuff, and I ate some banana chips to tie me up until dinner. She had heard of Binions, and wanted to play craps there. That would prove to be a mistake. Although we were playing $5 craps, we lost almost a grand in a little over an hour. We were still up, but like she put it "that was a months rent!" Back to the Bellagio for dinner. It was comped, so I wasn't so upset that she ate salad the whole time. She was silent the whole time. About half way through, she asked me to take her to a club. I was really not liking that idea, she is a good looking 22 year old girl and I didn't know how I would react to the slime trying to pick up women. She wanted to go to C2K, but it was only like 8 so we went and played a little 3 card poker until we left. This game is fun, I played awhile in trips past but I really liked it this time. It seemed like whenever I was down, i'd pick up a straight and get right back there. After about 2 hours, we were both even or really close either way with the tipping. Caught a taxi over to the Venetian and payed the cover and got in. Its different when you take your sister. I was in "Big Brother" mode, and not more than 2 minutes later this guy came over and tried to buy her a drink. He couldn't understand what she was doing there with me and I politely let him know I was her brother and she didn't want to be bothered. He seemed okay with that and apologized and left. Every 5 minutes or so, idiots. Well, here's where it turned ugly. A couple hours later the guy that hit on her first came back VERY drunk. He asked me to dance with her and she said no. As we turned to walk out he called her a stupid slut. I turned back to say something and she jumped in front of me to yell at him. He slapped her... I went NUTS! I punched him twice quickly and actually knocked him out. After that I was dragged to the ground by a HUGE bouncer and had a knee in my back while my sister was screaming and crying. I was escorted out along with the other idiot and taken to a security room. We were both questioned and after he confessed to slapping my sister I was told not to react so quickly and with force in a night club. I was escorted out and just wanted to go back to the hotel. In the cab back to the Bellagio, I had realized that was the first punch I had thrown in years and I felt good! My sister was still upset. She took a bath, I called my wife and told her what had happened. She was proud of me! Thats all I needed to hear Day 3 and 4 to follow.
