    My Trip Report

We left for Albany at 1:00 a.m. for our 6:00 a.m. flight. Arrived about 4:00 and went through security and had about an hour and a half wait. Now comes the part I've dreaded most...boarding the plane. Get on the plane and sit in aisle and try to sleep. About 20 minutes into the flight I take my prescription from the doctor to "control my anxiety" about flying! LOL! Plane lands in Cincinnati, takes off and I finally get to sleep. Yeah!!! I woke up and actually looked out the window to see the mountains and the Grand Canyon. Real nice of the pilot to dip us nice and low to see the damn crevices in the canyon! We finally land and I am happy! :D We take a shuttle to the Tropicana. Get to the Trop and check in. Have a room in the Island Towers on the 12th floor. Nice view. All in all nice room. Like the bed. Did not like the fact that I had to pay a $1.00 everytime I picked up the phone. Even to call VegasKathy in her room on the 15th floor they charged us a $1.00! Wow!! We go to the promotions desk and get our card and our coupon sheet. Went to Calypsos (sp?) and had the 2 for 1 burger. Then we played the slots. Lost our butts on those each and every day! Guys took a nap and we went over to MGM and got our buffet passes from Wagerworks. Came back woke up guys got ready for dinner and went to eat. Very good buffet. Went over to Excalibur to see the Dragon show. Guess what! Dragon show has been discontinued! :( Walked around Excalibur for a while and then went to NYNY and got our wagerworks passes for the Roller Coaster. Rode it later on in the trip. Went back to the Trop, watched impersonators for a very short time and then went to bed.

4/24 - woke up and went to San Remo for breakfast. Has the buffet this morning. Very good! Even had hash on it. yum, yum!! Played slots for a little bit, missed my craps lesson because I was on a machine that was actually doing well! Didn't last too long though. Went to lunch at Calypsos again and then went to the pool to go swimming. Very nice pool. Wish I could have spent more time there now. :( After swimming, walked up the strip to get our Wagerworks buffets for the Bellagio buffet. I loved the Bellagio! I think it was just beautiful!! The fountains were amazing and the indoor garden was just soooo pretty and smelled soooo good! We ate at the buffet and I thought it was o.k. (especially the clams!) After dinner went out walking and almost got accousted by the stupid time share people! I think I like the people handing out the brochures more than the time share people!! [IMG] Went to the Boardwalk because Vegaskathy and I wanted to see the prince impersonator. Well he never came out while we were there and we stayed until about 11:15. So we left there and went back to the Trop to play slots for a while before turning into bed.

    More to follow.........

Sounds like you were enjoying yourself. Did you book the Island Tower or get upgraded? I found the bed a bit hard for my taste and AC not very efficient but the upgrade was free and we did have a hair dryer. We were on the 6th floor.Never made it to the pool :( .
As it was explained to me and I had to initial, the fee was $1.00 per day for unlimited local calls whether you made any or not. That's the way I was billed. Perhaps they have different rates for different promos. I hate anything not declared up front though!! I booked a Gardens room for 49;49 and 39 with $50 in Food Cert. and 2 for 1 Show ticket Certificates (LA TIMES Promo). Island Towers is a $10/day upgrade but they didn't charge us.
I tend to move up and down the strip seeing things so location wasn't critical; I liked the pkg that we got plus we were close to EFX the main show I took Kate to see. I would stay again if the price was right.
