  1. My wife and I flew in from Tucson on Monday at 7:00 AM,grabbed a shuttle and right to the Flamingo as first time visitors. No wait for check-in,nice room on 26th floor looking out at the Bellagio fountains. Went to the 2 for 1 breakfast buffet at he hotel, not too bad. Played slots for the next 3 to 4 hours, wife was doing all-right. Walked across to the Forum shops and to check out Caesars Palace, wife hit on blazings 7s for 250.00.Saw the battle of Atlantis in the forum ,not that impressed. Walked across the street to Bally's and had a free pull on the Million dollar slot and won a free drink and a tee shirt. Played a few slots, and then went up to the Big Kitchen buffet, had another 2 for 1 buffet coupon from the Park Place fun book and used it. Good buffet, spilt crab legs, mounds of shrimp, good prime rib and great deserts. About 6:eek:o pm went to the Imperial Palace and my wife played 3$ blackjack as a first timer and won 7 straight hands with just her and the dealer. Great guy who helped her as best as he could.A couple of weeks before we left, I found that the Imperial Palace has a cam that show every 10 seconds a still picture of their strip entrance,so I told my daughter back in Buffalo to go to the Imperial Palace web site and and look for us standing and waving to them about 7:00 PM.We stood right in front and you could see the pole where the camera was located and they saw us for about 5 minutes, until we were embarassed waving at a pole. Walked down to Harrah's and listened to a great group in the lounge right off the casino. About 8:00 started down to see the Volcano at the Mirage, spectacular is all I can say. Kept on going down the street to Treasure Island and the best show so far the Pirate battle, big crowd and worth the wait. As first timers you check out the attractions on the Travel channel, but it doesen't do it justice, these free shows were great. Weather was cool but nice ,about 70 degrees or so. Followed the crowds back down the street, and back to the Imperial Palace where we stayed until about 3:00 PM in the morning playing slots, wife continued to win playing quarter slots and was up about 200.00, I continued to lose. Left our son house in Tucson at 5 in the morning and had been up for 23 hours, time to sleep.
    Day 2
Up at 6:am with 3 hours of sleep.Heading to Paris and the Buffet. The casino is beautiful, very clean and empty at that time, told wife to win money for breakfast and she hit for 300.00 playing wheel of fortune. This breakfast buffet was excellent, great omlettes and crepes and delicous deserts, well worth the money, was seated in a little cottage type room inside the buffet and it seemed as if you were in a french village.Excellent. Left their and headed over to play in the slot tournament at Alladin's. Good deal for 25 bucks, even though I did poorly,100 spins and could only manage 3,000 points. Got $10 in free slot play plus a nice fleece jacket for participating. As we left the Alladin, right in front was a Elvis impersonator, who turned out to sing pretty well.Wife had to have picture taken with him.Next stop was at the Harley- Davidson shop and on to the MGM.Pretty big is right, but not too impressed. Decided to head over to the Bellagio and took the moving sidewalk, handy! This place reeks of wealth, the flowered glass ceiling was worth it,went to the Conservatory and the smell of the flowers and mums was terrific. What a room with the largest horn of plenty and flowers I had ever seen. Wife continued to do all right with the slots, another $50 bucks or so.The Flamingo was handy as a central location, back to the room for a few minutes, grabbed a 2 for 1 hotdog deal at the flamingo cafe. Our next stop was at the Barbary Coast for the 3:00 pm show for the 500 lb ELVIS. Decent crowd waiting for him, bought a drink and out he comes.A 3 hour show is announced which I couldn"t believe he could pull off.Great voice and stage presence but 3 songs in and he leaves the stage,it sounded as if he was winded,we stayed 20 minutes but no ELVIS.I wonder if he is all-right? From the Coast we jumped on their shuttle to the Rio,very nice property. Got to see the Carnival in the sky, great show for free. Was given a 4 dollar off coupon for the Rio buffet. Once again, the buffet was very good.Clean ,no lines, and very decent food.A little more gambling and then off on the Rio shuttle to get to Harrah"s. Got a picture with a showgirl to show the kids,a little more gambling, I finally hit for 150.00 playing Elvis slots. It's now time to walk over to the Bellagio fountains and it"s simply pure vegas.A busy day has to come to an end.

day 3 - Shuttle pick up is 1:00 pm, how quick it goes,One last buffet at 9:00 at Harrah"s fresh Market, great price and delicous food as usual.Decide to stick at the Flamingo for the last couple of hours, wife wins a little more and is up a thousand or so,I'm down about 500.00 or so.We check out and our walking to to the east entrance, we spot a 1.00 seven slot,we have 5 minutes to departure,so we throw in a twenty,10 two dollar spins. I spin, nothing, she spins and hits a 7 0n the line and 2 7s below the line for a quick 160 dollars, collect and cash out in just a minute and we make the shuttle. What a great time we had, will go back as soon as we can.

My two friends and I stood in front of the Paris fountain and waved at the camera up near the balloon for another one of our friends. We probably looked like fools but our friend saw us and really who cares how we looked its Vegas :D

Loved your report and so happy you liked the Flamingo, I love the place and especially the location. So happy your wife was lucky and you did all the things any first timer should do. I do them again and again, and I never tire of it. You sound so very positive about everything, you must be great people who really enjoy what life has to offer. Glad you had a Great Trip.

Whoops almost forgot - your trip dates were the same as my very first trip to Vegas in 1966.
