    My Trip Report

Everyone is up and ready to go by 9:00. The bachlor, me, and B head over to Sahara and sign up for the 11:00 am tournament. We hang around there gamble a bit and play in the tournament. There were only 22 players in the tournament but with re-buys and late entries there would end up being a decent sized payday for one of our $40 entry fees. B and I are sat at the same table and the bachelor is at the other table. The very first hand B and 2 other guys go all in, B has aces in the hole, another guys has Kings and the other has AK, aces held up and B quickly triples up. All 3 of us make it to the first break and I am the lowest stack of the 3 with B currently dominating the field. I quickly double up when we KJ suited flops a flush. We make it to the final table with 2 big stacks (B is one of them) and then everyone else has about the same amount of chips we find out that the tournament will pay the top 4 spots. I look around the table and figure that we should be OK. After the next break there are 6 guys left and all 3 of us are in it. The bachelor was making his surge before the break and I am currently the short stack and know that I will need to make a move. On the first hand after the break a couple of people raise into the Bachelor's big blind and he calls. After the flop he goes all in with a small pair on the board but more importantly a straight flush draw. He gets a caller who nutted a straight no more hearts come up and Bachelor is out in 6th. Next hand I am the big blind and only 1 guy calls, I look down at AQ and move in. He calls with AK, window card is Q and he ends up hitting the river card to make a straight and I am out in 5th 1 spot out of the money. The other 4 play for about 20 more minutes and then decide to chop the pot each getting like $325. From there we head to McDonalds for some lunch and then meet up with D-Money and I-Dog who where sitting up in the room finishing off the other case of beer that we had. We mull over what to do and decide on hitting the new Scores in Vegas. It opened at 5:00 and we got there around 5:10 and talk with the doorman for a bit since he has a sister that went to Mankato State University in Minnesota, he informs us that we came at a good time since they have a little buffet, free drinks until 6:00 and then 2 for 1s until 8:00. We pay the $20 cover and proceed to the bar. We get our money's worth of free drinks and 2 for 1s while watching the T-Wolves lose to the Spurs. We didn't get a final count but probably dropped $750 or so there. We take a cab to Wynn and the line for the buffet is about a 1/2 hour long at 9:30 at night. They have a very nice spread and we all ate way too much. We walked back to Stratosphere and I-Dog and D-Money were out while B, the Bachelor and I played some poker. I lost my $80 buy-in at $2-$4 limit in about 1 hour. People stay on everything and they always seem to hit what they need on the river. B comes out $10 ahead at the NL table and the Bachelor hits quad Aces doubling his money plus getting $195 high hand bonus. A guy hit the high hand earlier in the day otherwise he would have won close to $900. It is now 2:00 am and we decide to call it a night and head to bed. Tomorrow will end up being the day in which the Minnesota boyz invade JET.
