Hello! So, instead of doing a trip report in real time(which I wish I was as capable as some of you amazing posters, but I just can’t commit myself) I wanted to recap my recent stay! All of you are super helpful in my trip planning process I wanted to return the favor as best as I could! I finally went on my annual Vegas trip after a couple reschedules. My original plan was to stay at Paris(comped) and finish at Wynn(cheap rates.) I always tell myself I’m perfectly fine staying some place other than Wynn for a couple nights, but then I cancel and book Wynn for the full trip(more on this later.) I arrived at the Wynn early Saturday and per usual it was seamless as always. I took a taxi from airport(the only time I will use a taxi because it’s easier then a Lyft or Uber when arriving.) In typical Vegas fashion the driver asked if I need to stop for liqour(not yet) or weed(no shame, just don’t mix weed and gambling.) As we proceeded to the South Entrance(I find this easier than the main entrance) the driver asked if I need a hooker(again no shame, woman just aren’t my preference. I guess I just come across as a horny straight dude!lol) I checked in quick and easy and got my panoramic room on the 59th floor. I unpacked, took in the view of the strip which never gets old! And I outspokenly declared, “God I love you Vegas! I threw my suit on and went to the pool! It wasn’t hard to get a chair, but was definitely busy at 1pm. This was a major concern of mine leading to the trip, but never had much of an issue all three days. Yes, I had to search for a seat, but every time I found the perfect one. I ordered my usual chips and dip and beer and basked in the sun. Toward evening I took a Lyft to a friends off the strip and then returned to the Wynn around 11. Yes, there are bag checks and metal detectors swiped over you, but it was refreshing to say the least. I went straight to video poker and handled my own. Nothing big, but nothing small. My mornings consisted of coffee, video poker and then pool. Wash, rinse, repeat every day. Sunday after pool I walked to Palazzo and Venetian and got a Dole Whip from Balck Top(My first time getting the drink and definitely won’t be my last. I try to enjoy Venetian, but never that impressed, besides it was super busy. I played at Pallazo(my fav of the two casinos) and won a little. That evening I decided on Wazuzu and boy am I happy I finally ate there after many trips to the Wynn! The Drunkes Noodles were perfection and are added to my list of “must haves” on my next trip. I played a little more, then crashed. Monday I woke up, did my same routine and enjoyed the absolute best weather I have ever experienced in Vegas. After, I walked the east side of the strip to O’Shea’s for my annual Frozen Bally’s, but to my absolute shock, it was closed! My first disappointment of the trip! I then went to Paris(It’s still a nostalgic thing for me.) However, I was less than impressed. A lot is closed between Bally’s and Paris and I’m just always shocked at how dingy Paris is. I’ll say this for the millionth time, Paris has so much potential, but doesn’t do anything to achieve it. I’ll always visit Paris for a quick slot play, but as I mentioned early about staying there, it was a good reminder to not consider it in the future. I went to Cosmo for some free play I had. It’s still a beautiful property and was decently busy. The covid protocol was the second best(behind Wynn.) I then quickly walked through Bellagio, which I realized it still beautiful and if I got better Mlife offers I would slightly consider it as a second option. I then went to Caesars to buy Vanderpump Vodke and wine for a gift and then quickly went to Fashion Show for some retail therapy. That evening I finally tried Allegro and again, it was perfection! The Lasanga was some of my favorite! Then I played Video Poker the rest of the night and held my own. In conclusion...The Wynn never disappoints, even during this weird time we are in. The protocols were done perfectly and effectively. There is sanitizer wipes by mostly all machines(Which I hope stays) and they watch closely for people without mask. I was told a few times to pull mask up when I was smoking. I never was upset, I appreciated their awareness. However, most of the time I could pull mask down and have a puff and sip and no one bothered me. I never felt infringed on. The spacing between machines was great and everyone respected each other. The cocktiail waitresses were wonderful and I didn’t notice any difference in service. It may not have been the most entertaining trip I’ve had in Vegas, but it felt 75% normal and I’m happy I went! If you have any question, please feel free to ask!
