Just wanted to share some highlight/quick recap of my trip! Had lots of fun with my little cousin and another of our coworkers this past week. They stayed at the Sahara and I split my trip between Cosmo and Palace Station.

Secret Pizza was a hit. I think the girls went back a couple times on their own without me.

The Chicago show at Flyover was SO COOL!! I've done the original and new versions of Soarin' at Epcot as well as the Iceland and American West versions of Flyover but Chicago blew them all out of the water! It was easy to tell that the other shows were filmed with helicopters while Chicago was done with drones. It was so much fun.

The Magic Mike show at the Sahara was tons of fun! Since the girls were staying there we got a discount on the tickets that we bought maybe 15 min before the show started? Wound up at a table that had we bought online would have cost over $120 each for $58. Worth every penny! I would absolutely go back.

Don's Prime was really good. I don't have much steakhouse experience, so it was a real treat. Only cost about $160 for my entree, side, an espresso martini, and tip. I need to make it a point to go to more steakhouses. Had my first ribcap and it was just as good as I thought it would be.

Spending time with my dearest friend that lives out there is the best though. We laughed until we cried big ol' rollin' down your cheeks tears 😂

Gambling was a big old bust, like not even fun because it was just straight losing.

I got a Dutch Bros coffee every single day and I need the one closest to me to be less than an hour away!

Not sure if my next trip will be on a couple day layover on the way to Hawaii for my 40th in Jan or my normal fall trip, but either way I'm ready for the next one!

Flyover Chicago better than Soarin', huh? Hmm...

Glad you had a good time, other than the gambling luck! Thanks for sharing!

How are the rooms at Palace Station? Do you know if any of their rooms have strip views? Thanks for the report!
They're pretty average. Standard size, although I feel the bathroom is decently sized compared to a few other hotels I've been in. Definitely bigger than the ones in the old base level Mirage rooms. It's a shower/tub combo though which I'm not a fan of, but the pressure was good and the water is hot.

I had a view of downtown which was nice. I would assume the other side of the building has a strip view but I don't think I've ever had a room facing that way.

Not just better, but FAR better! So much longer too. I didn't think a city-centric version of that type of ride would be much fun, but I was completely wrong.
