Today DH got a phone call from one of his best friends. Wanting to know if we would be interested in going to Vegas with him, his wife, and another couple friend. Um.. yes!! We didn't even have to think about it!

I will say I prefer our solo trips (just the 2 of us) but a trip with friends can be fun and different, so I'm in!

So now I have two trips on the books.. its the first time I've ever had 2 trips planned at once. Usually when we get back I'm kind of down because I know we will be going back within a year or so but never know when. Now I know I only have to wait until October!

Tonight my daughter (13) said "Mom.. why do you always want to go there? Doesn't it get boring you've been so many times" Silly kids.

What is the most number of Vegas trips you've had on the books at one time?

Dang. I need friends that have phones. Or that are interested in traveling.

Just one trip booked at a time for me. And trips are a year apart now.

It's a practice in patience. VMB, crying , and chocolate :licklips: get me through those long waits...

I went for the first time in April 2007. I went again in November of that same year. The second trip wasn't planned until a few weeks after I returned from the 1st trip. I've gone every two or three years since, but I would love to make it yearly. I don't know if I could handle planning two trips at once, I'm already obsessing about my trip this fall, how do I obsess about two trips at the same time?

    Lucky lady!!! :woohoo:

I'm guessing two at a time. Not sure how many trips vs planning actually overlapped but one year we went to Vegas 5 times so I'm sure there was some overlapping ;) ;). Usually 3-4 trips a year somewhat on a quarterly basis - two trips with best friends, the others on our own - whichever trip we are on is always our best :D.

They are indeed different and both are equally fun....although my husband and I are on the same page when it comes to VEGAS so it's just easier.

What we tend to do is overlap our trip with my sister and brother-in-law. This way we each have our couples time but look forward to hanging out with others.

Sometimes when we travel with friends to Vegas I feel like we spent half the time looking for each other or waiting on each other which gets really frustrating. I am hoping maybe this time we can just meet up nightly for dinner and maybe for a show or two (haha I'm glad I caught that, autocorrect changed "meet up for a show or two" to "meet up for a shower also" lol)but keep the days free to do whatever each couple prefers

A few years ago, I had three trips scheduled (but only two with flights & room actually "booked").
...but, since I usually go 2 or 3 times every year, I don't usually experience the anxiousness that happens when one doesn't know when the next trip will be... I always know my next trip is only a few months down the road... booked or not!

Friends that want to go to Vegas? Where do you find these people?

I think we need to dump our friends and replace them with cool ones.

We never really "booked" trips because we were 3+ hours away by car. Now there was a run there for a while when we'd be there every month, a bit more frequently than that one year or so.

When I was a bachelor, I've had 2-3 trips booked at one time (March Madness, May golf trip, and August birthday trip). NOW, I'm only allowed to do the May golf trip...

I am usually working on 2 or 3 at a time until my last one for the year in October. I start planning again in January for my first trip of the year in March.

I remember the first time I went, 20 some years ago, I started planning my next trip as soon as I got home. I was hooked! I always laugh when I hear newbies saying the same thing.

    This was me!

I routinely am planning two trips at a time but I have relatively fixed dates to work with so that eases the planning. One trip is for a conference with set dates and then I always go back for my birthday so searching airfare/hotels is easy.

Two at a time. I live on the east coast and have sometimes scheduled bookending weekends around a weekday business trip

I am truly lucky that my spouse enjoys LV as much as I do. We often have our second trip loosely planned before leaving on the first trip.

People often ask us why we travel so often to vegas, answer is simple. It has everything we want. Weather, great food, shopping, beautiful hotel and suites, the excitment of the casino, and the list can go on and on.

The most I have had booked at once is two. My trip next month was booked after my trip in October when a nice offer appeared and I was able to extend a weekend. This will be our first weekend trip in Vegas arriving on a Friday and leaving on Monday.

Two for me. I went last November with March planned. When I went in March I had a trip planned for June. I don't think I'll make it back this fall but I know I will be back in March 2018, just won't be booked yet.

To make sure there are never any conflicts at work - I usually book
2 or 3 ahead of time. Can't have real life getting in the way
of my happy place!! I have 2 booked right now and working on
the 3rd - if my friends want September - then I will have 4 booked at once. LOL
    :D
