TR Website doing weird things for Planet Hollywood

So I'm already starting to work on my trip in June by keeping an eye on room rates.

So I go to the Total Rewards site and do NOT log in. I'm looking to see what the cost is for the room we had this past trip at Planet Holywood. Ultra Hip (remodelled) fountain view room 1 king. Find it no problem.

Log in and still see the room with a lower price. Put in my wife's TR number and now the room doesn't appear.

Any ideas what in the hell that would be about?

She doesn't have an account setup, I suppose I could do that, but I find it very odd that once I put her number in we lost access to that type of room.

Once CES is over I do plan on talking to the slot hostess we know at Cosmo and seeing what rates we can get there.

Is it June yet????
 
I don't eff with CET, and these posts keep reminding me why.
 
Do you have a comp for other dates? Sometimes CET won't let you book a nice room at a discounted rate so to deter that, they don't show them as being available. Happens all the time with the Cabana rooms at the linq. There is a way around this as I've been able to do it by entering a promo code a couple of times before -- that usually shows me all the rooms. OR, select your room and then log in
 
I think the thing to do is to register her account online and try again.

If you get the same result, then I dunno. Maybe her play level is low and somehow the combo is nixing it from showing you all rooms?

The TR website does do some quirky things sometimes.

If I am using straight availability calendar, it will usually show me all room types for my dates, even if for some of them I will be paying.

But if an offer code is being used, it won't always show me all room types, even though theoretically I should be able to book any room under the offer at some price.

And sometimes, it is applying a default promo discount code like the 20% or whatever they run almost all the time. And it isn't showing me all the room types because of that. And there's no way to remove that type of promo code.

Actually, when I put her number in the system the rates drop tremendously. We play about the same amount.

So if I log in and choose all Vegas hotels, CP for example is $169. Put her's in and it drops to $113.

We aren't high rollers but we can get comped at Rio, Flamingo, Ballys, Harrah's. Paris is $36, Planet Hollywood is $31. I can get the non-fountain view room for $61/night.

I'll try to register her account later today and see what happens. I've emailed them about it and asked what the deal was, doubt I'll get a real response.
 
As stated above they will only show the rooms that your wife is eligible to get offers on when putting her card in. If there is a convention going on then the Ultra Hips are probably being held for higher level players or for full pay. I think by not putting them on the offer they are trying to not insult you, however I agree that you may try the calendar and see if it comes up on that.................Good Luck...Rick
