In my low rolling fashion, I do get offers from vegas TR hotels for a few nights and maybe a bit of free play, tourneys, GGWU boosters, etc..............However, the rooms offered are always of a lower quality than what I can get comped just by booking online.........ie for the GGWU booster event, through the offer I can get a Ballys Indigo room for 3 nights, but if I book online without the offer I can get a Jubillee strip view room comped for 5 nights.
In the past, I had a booking for the jubilee strip view room and got a small free play offer after I had booked the room. I called in to get the offer, they gave it to me but I noticed a few days later that the room had changed to the indigo room....I called back and they said to get the offer I was stuck with the indigo room. I cancelled the offer and went back to the jubilee room (my lady luvs her strip view! lol)
Will probably head back for the GGWU booster in Feb, I am not sure if I need to book the offer with the indigo room to be included in the booster event, or would I get the points just by staying there on my typical jubilee online booking?
Or should I book the offer and just go for a room upgrade on check in? I am diamond, but my adt isn't enough to qualify for a host............

My impression is, for the GGWU bonus event, you must book under the GGWU promo code to be eligible for the bonus, and that promo code may have room restrictions. I booked under that promo code, and had my host book me at Harrahs instead of Caesars.

Are you checking prices under your offers? I always just go to the calendar & can get 5 comped nites at all properties except sometimes not Caesars. My offers only give me 3 nites. Prices were cheaper for multiple nites thru the calendar when I checked for a family member also.

I am guessing you are logged in to your account when checking the TR website. In that case even when you don't select an "offer", you are still seeing rates that are discounted accordingly to your previous play and rating. TR/CET seems to make some distinction between comp rates and "offers". I notice they never stack, so sometimes the offers are worse than your default comp/discount rate.

If the offer does allow a room type you are happy with, you should still be able to get 5 nights free even when the offer is only good for 3. Enter the dates & the offer code into the calendar. The 4th & 5th nights often display as comp also. (It shows two designations on the display - free & comp - the offer nights will display under one description & the other nights will display the other description).

I'm a low roller Diamond who stays in the Jubilee tower too.

I think dialun nailed it. The GGWU booster event has some encoded restrictions, probably need a host to get an override (assuming you played your way to Diamond). When you check in at the Diamond desk, there's usually a host sitting at one of the desks around the corner. Just tell them you'd like a contact to help you with your future trips. That doesn't solve your immediate dilemma though.

Guess your option is to risk bartering at Diamond check in for the room you want while booked under the GGWU promo.

Yes you can add nights to an existing offer and if your play supports it they will be comped. I used an offer last month that includes a generous amount of free play and three nights. I added two more nights and on the calendar it showed comp/offer/offer/offer/comp. I also booked the same offer for a February trip.

Thanks for all the replies, it appears I am limited to rooms connected to the offer itself and not the rooms available on the TR website "book now" calendar. Now that I know it is limited to an offer I have another question.............if my lady stays with me in the same room and is on record as being in the room, will she be eligible for the bonus GGWU points? She did not receive the GGWU booster email or offer online (she only plays a bit on her card each trip to keep room upgrades going by adding a second tr number when booking when we travel together)....I am guessing not, any other opinions or thoughts?

Can you book a separate room using your lady's card? If you can book your trip solely using your comp, then just add a few nights on hers.

Use only your card while staying on your comp, then use only her card while on her comp.
