I received the offer for a voucher for a "free" cruise for two from TR if I go to Vegas for three days in September. The second weekend to be exact. Any information on what the voucher is actually good for? trying to convince the better half to go to Vegas and get another trip out of it.

Bottom line is I need more ammo for the gun fight when we talk about it. All help is GREATLY appreciated.

I hate to be a pedant, but I'd start by reading the voucher. It should say what boat, time, and class of room it is good for, as well as what fees/taxes you might owe.

You could also call NCL or whatever the booking # is on the voucher and ask your follow ups.

Have to go to Vegas to see voucher. Wife wants to know what the Boucher covers before we go to Vegas to pick up voucher. Emailed my "host" and she said she could not give me any info.

Usually you do not know in advance of the exact details.

There are usually different vouchers for different levels of play. could be an inside, oceanview, balcony or even a suite. They type of offers you get now might be an indicator.

These deals are offered for two reasons:
1 - Get you into the land casino to gamble again
    and
2 - Get you on the ship with hopes you will gamble there at similar or better levels.

You will still have some expenses, so not totally free. Some base fees, plus daily service fee, drinks, etc.

It will be less expensive than if you booked it yourself.

If you do a quick search on CRUISE you might get some additonal comments.

I booked an offer of this nature approx. 7 years ago through TR for the same purpose... a good excuse to get to Vegas with the wife.

The voucher was good for 1 inside state room for a 3 night, 4 day, with approximately 4 options to choose from. It was all the older, smaller ships in bad months when people would never want to travel and you were responsible for all taxes, gratuities, excursions, etc.

We picked up a free cruise voucher from CET a couple of yrs ago and it was good for a 7 day cruise, inside cabin, to any location.

We actually used it on a 7 day Alaska cruise. We upgraded to a balcony by paying the difference only. In addition, you are responsible for port fees and taxes, so in essence, it's really just a voucher for a discount and not a totally free cruise.
