    My Trip Report

Hi Everyone! Thanks for the advice before I left - whether it was from a direct question I had or the mountains of information on this board.

We were on a WestJet vacation package and stayed at the MGM, originally booked in a Grand Tower and ended up staying in the Grand Tower. Didn't do the $20 trick but asked about upgrades and she offered a few - including a bungalow suite (but had a crappy view) and a Celebrity Spa suite (but it was a smoking room) so we stayed where we were - great view of the strip - 23 floor. Slipped her some money anyway for all of her help.

First off - no gambling stories, maybe tossed $20 in the machines in total between us all week. Thought it would be fun to catch a blackjack or roulette lesson at the hotel one of the mornings but always had other things to do.

Loved the PREMIUM outlet mall! I am the proud new owner of a fabulous COACH purse. Love it. And while at the Forum Shops later in the week, the girl fromt he Coach store instantly recognized it when I walked in and we gushed together for awhile ;) We took a cab to Premium and with tip was $20 each way.

Saw FOUR shows - Mystere, Ka, David Copperfield and O. Bought Mystere the day of the show from the Concierge at MGM - great seats - section 203, 3rd or 4th row back, it was right behind the sound booth which was perfect because that doesn't obstruct your view and NO people in front of you. The Ka tickets I bought before we went and they were all right - thanks Gregario for the advice - they were close, but you were right it was a different experience seeing the stage and the performers up close. For O we had FABULOUS seats, which should not have happened because we bought them from the MGM concierge the day of the show - we wanted to go really bad so we ended up buying singles way off to the side for full price ;( We took the momorail over to the Bellagio about an hour before the show and as we walked past the box office I thought let's go see if they have anything better - and they did! Section 103 last row, centre - and even better we were now sitting side by side. I think he said they were producers seats or something.

Out of the three Mystere was our favorite, then O, and then Ka. All were fabulous! And my boyfriend is hooked on Cirque now - wants to see them all!

    David Copperfield was cool too.

Next time I'd like to add one of the headling comedians to our list.

It was his first time so we walked around alot just seeing the sites. We went down to Freemont one night which I hadn't done before, that was cool. And how could I forget?? They were filming a Carrie Underwood video on Freemont! She is so tiny. Keep your eyes out for her next video, we saw her spinning a gambling wheel with her 'boyfriend' in front of a showgirl. We saw them earlier in the day too but didn't know it was her at that point, they were filming a scene to the side of the MGM,

No fabulous restaurant reports. Does anyone else not get hungry there? We couldn't figure it out. We are active people and always seem to be hungry. We walked all over that strip and would eat once a day - and not much at that.

My big regret is not having enough time to hang by the pool ;( I went out once and it is a very nice pool.

Not a very exciting trip report but wanted to throw my little bit out there. Can't wait to do it again.

Sounds like you had a lot of fun, even if you didn't gamble very much or spend much time by the pool. There's always next time.
