Trips to Las Vegas
100
Left LA on Friday morning for 3 comp nights at the cal. Drive out was uneventful and was able to check in at 2pm. Took my friend dante who just celebrated his birthday. After unpacking we decided on the seafood buffet at MSS. Since My foot is in a cast due to a staph infection (don't ask) I use a knee scooter to get around which gives me front of the line access. After dinner I arranged a helicopter ride over the strip and was picked up by the shuttle service at 8pm. After checking in and a glass of champagne we boarded the helicopter and got the front seats.

Got back to the c as l and dante went to bed so I went to MSS and settled in at the craps table. Table was choppy at best and it was really late...around 3am when a guy who couldn't sleep due to noise from a nearby club was handed the dice and began to roll. He hit every number. I am a $5 better and press at every other hit and had my 6 and 8 place bets at $360. I should have played the hard ways as he was hitting those. At the end of his roll I walked away with $1500.00 the most I have ever won and I was the lowest winner

Woke up late on Saturday but we already had plans for the evening. Six months ago my dear friend eric passed in Las Vegas and his sister had no funeral or memorial for him so we left Vegas and drove north to mesquite. After fighting traffic for an hour we parked and got our lanterns and wrote some personal messages on them and awaited the launch. I have to admit the pictures do not do it justice as thousands of lanterns going into the sky at once. Both me and dante shed a tear while watching our lanterns rise into the sky.

After that we spent the next hour trying to find the car and trying to stay warm as it was in the 40s. Got back to Vegas around midnight.

Sunday was a relaxing day with nothing planned. I called a friend who is a dice dealer at the linq and he was off that night so we went down to boulder station and played $3 craps. It was odd as my friend grew up in vegas and knew most of the staff and even went to high school with some of them.

Left Monday afternoon with an overall profit of $500 and sweet memories of our friend eric.

Thank for reading.
