Has anyone picked up a TR freeplay that starts mid-stay?

I booked a stay from Friday, March 31 to April 3rd at Caesars.
$400 freeplay offer starts on April 2nd, Sunday.
Can I pick up the $400 FP as soon as it passes midnight from April 1 to 2nd?
Or do I have to wait until the morning for TR desk to open?
What time does the TR desk open and close?

I've picked up FP's during mid-stays at Caesars a few times but had mixed results getting it. Twice I was told I had to wait until the TR desk opens and 3 times I was able to just go to the cage and redeem it. I even told the cage personnel I had redeemed before at the cage and they even got the shift manager once and he told me the same that they are unable to do it there. It seems that though they are unfamiliar with their own policies. But since I got FP at the cage before, I know for a fact that they are able to let you redeem it there.

    meh

i tried calling TR desk a few times but they're already closed or at least not picking up the phone right now
hopefully i can get it as soon as it passes midnight because I would like to book a morning flight out of vegas
which means I need more gambling time during the night

I've never redeemed a standalone FP offer like that, all of mine have been linked directly with a stay. Several times at Caesars and once at PH, and every time I got the vouchers at the cage.

I don't think so. My CET free play in Vegas was always a pain in the buns. I only get free play in Vegas when I agree to stay with them. They never just give me free play. Well, once years ago I got free play coupons that I could stick in a machine. But I only saw those once.

    The normal progression is:
Check in and get a room number assigned.
Go to the TR desk where they verify you were booked under the correct code, they verify you got checked in, then they fill out a piece of paper and make you sign it.
THEN you take that paper to the cage and they give you vouchers you can stick in the machine. But they only work if you have your card in as well.

So I dont think you can skip the rewards booth, which isnt open at midnight, and go directly to the cage without making a scene.

Other CET joints either send you free play in a voucher, like my local Horseshoe casino does. Or you can swipe at a kiosk like I could do in AC. Vegas puts on this whole show for some reason.

I never stated that the FP is standalone, nor do I think OP meant that too. We both stated mid-stay, meaning if your FP offers does not start or valid until a certain day and you are there earlier, you would have to redeem the FP in the middle of the stay. I never had any FP offers that didn't require a stay along with it in Vegas.

I assume TR/CET properties had many complaints hence why they allow for you to redeem at the cage. Like several others have stated, they were able to get the FP from the cage. I agree, and wished Vegas would have kiosks like AC does where you can just go and swipe your card and it prints out.

    yea
looks like i'm not going to get a conclusive answer on this on the forum
just going to have to try it after midnight...
if they don't give me the $400 FP at the cage, then i'll just have to get it in the morning and play it all on one hand of something and let it ride
since i'm thinking of booking a morning flight out of vegas

Maybe it's just because of the offers I get, but I'm a little confused by what you're saying.

If the FP is associated with a hotel stay, instead of being standalone, and it doesn't start until April 2, would he have been able to book the offer at all if he was checking in on an earlier date? What was the situation in the first post you wrote?

offer is for $400 FP, valid from April 2nd to about April 4 or 5 or something like that
that's how it shows up on the calendar
    April 2nd is a Sunday

I booked my stay from Fri, March 31 to Mon, April 3rd through my casino host. She said it's a valid stay for the offer and that I will get the FP but not until April 2nd and need to pick up from TR desk.
I just wanted to see if that meant I could get it after midnight. And judging by the responses, it looks like my mileage will vary depending on who's working

so the TR desk closes at 11pm and opens at 8am
I will definitely try at the cage but will expect a rejection

i will just play throughout the weekend and then just toss the $400 FP on baccarat table and let it ride 3x for a quick hit and run to finish off my gambling before going to the airport

Hey Chuck, sorry, my wording is probably confusing. I'll try to explain it a bit better. It's like the OP has just commented. A situation like that would happen more usually towards the end of the month or I guess whenever you want to arrive before the FP offer is actually valid like a day or two prior. For instance, if a player has an FP offer with stay required, that is not available till say April 1st but wants to book a stay for March 31st till April 3rd, will the player not get the FP? From my personal experience in that situation, my host would just book my reservation for those dates and attach the FP offer to it. I assume the host can override it? But this has happened to me several times where the host would tell me I'm not able to redeem the FP until the day it is valid on my stay, which in this case, if I check in March 31st, I can't go get the FP until April 1st. I hope that was a better explanation.

I always assumed this would be quite common and happens a lot for some folks. But then I realized many people schedule or book according when their actual offers are valid for. So maybe this is not as common as I thought it would be.

Have your host leave a not under your TR at the cage. Go to the cage at 1am and pick up your $400.00 free play and enjoy. have a great trip

    OK I see now, thanks.

I play at the same level consistently, and I get the same rolling offer every two months with the same amount of FP and resort credit every time, and they're good for a year, so I'm basically always covered by the same offer no matter what my dates are. And I only go twice a year. It didn't occur to me that if I went more often and upped my play on a certain trip that my FP might spike in the next offer and the start date might fall in the middle of a planned stay.

I just got back from a 5 night stay at PHO that included $225 of Free Play with a three night stay. I checked in on Saturday and per my offer I could not pick up my Free Play until Monday. All nights were comped but the listing showed Comp/Comp/Offer/Offer/Offer. I did have to go to the TR desk and show my ID and they gave me a slip to take to the cashier for my Free Play.

That would be another variation I hadn't thought of.
