Nothing odd about that list. The original question was pretty broad and vague--it just asked for the "top" places. I've only stayed at two of my top five.

If I had to list my favorite places that I've stayed and liked:

    1. Bally's. It's my second home; I always stay there on guys' trips. Non-pretentious, generally pretty lively, $10 3:2 blackjack most of the time, friendly staff, and in 10 minutes I can be anywhere from the Linq to Ellis Island to Bellagio to Planet Hollywood.
    2. Planet Hollywood.
    3. Bellagio.
    4. Aria (would be 2nd but we had a subpar room the 2nd time).
    5. Paris.

And I like Harrah's, too, even though it's sometimes looked down upon. My single biggest "jackpot" ever (a paltry $350, at three card poker) was there.

I don't see why people are apprehensive listing their favorite casinos, namely Harrah's. I like Harrah's, stayed 5 times, four of which were in the 1990s when I was comped due to my play in Joliet. Nice clean rooms, casino layout a little disjointed but fine, most employees are very nice. Not a 5 star resort, but most people do not stay in 5 star resorts. I have tried to stay in every Vegas casino, and while I like the 5 star places, I'm OK with standard rooms as long as they are clean and quiet. Great location, nice dining options, good show offering ($1M Quartet), easy comps. What is not to like beyond the resort fee and standard bad Strip VP paytables?!

Not apprehensive, my post was more of a joke than anything. I love Harrahs, it's where I stay and recommend.
