For what it’s worth, I LOVE your reports. I’ve every single one you have posted to catch up. If you do one, I’ll make sure to read it.

I'll take the contrarian view that a post-trip (aka non-live) report is superior. Take your time, gather your thoughts, create a narrative and theme (makes it all the better when you go against theme) and proofread before posting.

Live TRs frustrate me. The poster posts a photo of an $87 slot win, and then there are 15 responses of "Way to go!". Then something happens (poor service, a jagoff player, etc) that seems really horrible in the moment so the poster writes some run-on-sentences-with-details-missing screed, to which 23 posters all feel the need to comment on - some sharing their stories - until that one guy has a dissenting opinion, resulting in 18 responses to him. Meanwhile someone who hasn't checked in for a day has to get through 50 comments to read the half dozen or so postings done out of context and on the fly.

All that said, based on the seemingly 80/20 mix of live reports to post-trip reports, I am sure I am in the minority. But something to think of, as it allows you to enjoy your vacation and not worry about this board for a few days.

If you write it, we will read it. :)

I also feel like a lot of my trips are the same and writing a TR seems like something boring, but everyone always seems to have positive feedback. I think we're all just easy to please. Any excuse to take a mini/virtual vacation to Vegas is a good one. :)

Yes, please post a trip report.
Were you able to book through our mutually shared former Aria host, or are you already coded with a Cosmo host? I was able to stop by and say hi to her recently. Just not sure if I will like the property, so still debating if I will give it a try.

Well, you don't have to worry about photos of slot wins in my reports, live or otherwise lol. But I do like a good run on sentence.

I really don' have a preference. But I do recall more details if I am writing live rather than waiting a few weeks

Unfortunately, my long time Cosmo host is my other favorite vegas host (we are going to have lunch together sometime during this trip). But I did see Nicole when I stayed there last year. I am going to send her a text before the trip and stop in to see her while I am there. I wish she had gone to any resort other than Cosmo and I would have requested her as my new host! I need to convince her to move to Resorts World when it opens lol

Lol, I already tried recommending that same move to her. There is some understandable loyalty to a certain executive at Cosmo. But, I have every intention of trying out resorts world when it opens.

Off topic but given that you mention it, Resorts World I'm thinking is really going to give the other casino resorts some serious competition, which will be good for all of us. :)

I mentioned in one of my posts above that I have a lot more planned for next month. One of those plans is to go check out RW if it actually opens on the rumored date I have seen circulate online (the RW website only says "summer 2021" so who knows)

Oh wow. I had no idea it was opening that soon/this summer. If not open before I leave on May 12th it sounds like it will definitely be open when I am back in late June/early July.

Mjames1229, In total agreement of your assessment of live trip reports!!! They suck!

Too fragmented with posts and broken up with a million comments!

    Also often left incomplete!

Before I was old enough to fully enjoy Vegas I thought of Universal the way I think about Vegas now. Would love a report of both!!

When i was younger, I was a theme park fanatic (especially disney). But about twenty years ago, I learned that none of my other young adult friends had any interest in theme parks. So I gave up going to those and started going to vegas instead (one of the first things I did on my first trip to vegas was ride the NYNY coaster, lol). Then, 8 years ago, I met my partner and soon learned she also loved theme parks! So those have been back in the vacay rotation ever since

We are all creatures of habit, to varying degrees. I certainly noticed (eventually!) that more and more of my trips were becoming the same. Same hotel, same restaurants, same choices from said restaurants, same bartenders... same everything. On more recent trips I've made more of an effort to mix things up, picking a new hotel, trying a few different things. But still, a lot of repeat visits for me... I like what I like and I can't wait to do some of those again and again.

I guess you like HL table games and lounging around the pools ... nothing wrong with that for sure! If that's what you want to do, then many on here are clearly very happy to read it, myself included. Doing something different seems to take me a lot more conscious effort than I ever realised. I like to experience different elements of Las Vegas, so reading various TRs from different viewpoints definitely helps. For example, I love some of the out of town dumps that Eliza picks off, but I know deep down I'm super unlikely to drive out to (m)any of them. I'm equally unlikely to see inside the Mansion, a Villa or gain any sense of day-to-day interaction with properly-comped life, so I particularly like reading about that in reports.

Have a great trip, whatever you decide to do and however you decide to report.

I used to try and do something new every vegas trip. But that's difficult now because so many things are limited and because I have done so much, lol. if I had ponied up for an overpriced rental car, there would be new stuff on the agenda this trip. But kind of glad I'm just going to take it easy nd relax. here will be enough walking the next weekend at the theme park
