I have used my husband's travel coffee maker for tea. I'm not a hot drinks person, but if I'm feeling sick enough, tea is nice.

When I don't have a coffee maker in my room...I bring one. Cost me 12 whole dollars from wal-mart. When I DO have a coffee maker in my room I could care less what the brand name is. All I want is coffee when Im ready to get up and start my day. If theres a coffee maker in my room....I clean the hell out of it....just like I spray everything down with cans of Lysol. No matter where I stay. I don't care if it's the Bellagio or the Quad. No one will clean the room like I would. Takes me a whole 10 minutes to spray everything down. Then the rest of my vacation is spent on relaxation!

I bought one of those little 4-cup drip coffee makers years ago to travel with if I know the hotel won't have one in the room. It's light weight, and while it takes up room, I am a hopeless pack-a-holic anyways, so always have two 27" cases to check thru. We always have a rentcar, and a quick trip to a grocery store is always on our itinerary to pick up snacks, etc., so i just add coffee pods, styrofoam cups, creamers, etc. to that list. BTW--these coffee pots are fairly inexpensive. Our local supermarket had them for $6 last week for their back-to-school/dorm promo. Years ago, we used to stay at Stardust, and a half-pot of coffee from room service was $15 including tip.

Last April we stayed at Bellagio. We brought our own coffee & ziplock bags of creamer and our own hot/cold travel mugs. We went to Walgreens and purchased a 4 cup maker for about $15. Worked great and paid for it self in about a day and a half (we stayed 5 nights). When done we were just going to leave it but had enough room to take it home. Wouldn't care tho if we left it for a gift to the maids if they are allowed to take it.

Four Queens was testing some Kuerig machines in select rooms 6 months back - anyone know if they decided to go with it in future?

My room two weeks ago had an old-style drip maker.

I like to get my coffee before I'm really awake and dressed so I prefer to make it in the room first thing. I hate to waste one of those little portable travel makers so I'm not going to buy and leave one behind and weight is always such an issue with our bags that I'm not sure I can take one either. What I use is an immersion water heater and a coffee tumbler with a built in press. I love it!

I wonder if anyone's been to a Vegas maids garage sale, it must be full of cheap coffee makers.

The good think about the coffee maker we got is that it weighs very, very little. But, it does take up a fair amount of space. But,that in turn keeps the weight down in the bag.

I've never understood the Vegas plan of not having coffee makers in the room. I get that they want your butt of the room and onto the casino floor. I"m sure that's fine for the casual coffee drinker. For the caffeine addict, like me, it actually keeps me in the room longer. Getting AM coffee that requires a shower and getting dressed is going to take me longer than if I had my AM coffee right in the room like I do at the other 49 states.

When I lived in Phoenix and drove to Vegas, it was easy enough to bring a small coffee maker with me. Flying from Chicago, I don't bother. I had to haul along a router last year since Luxor didn't have wifi in my room, so there was no room for a coffee maker. I tend to bring more clothes to Vegas since they get covered in smoke smell easily.

I almost never use the coffee makers in rooms that have them because I need milk and I can't stand those packaged creamers. Besides, early mornings are my favorite time to sit at a slot machine with coffee in hand and no one around.

Could really care less---those coffee packs that are provided are awful---I do carry the single packs in case the makers are there, but no real problem if maker is not provided----I too am an early riser and at the VP bar usually by 5:00am---

    I really like this place!
