Trips to Las Vegas

Being a Non-US citizen I am always unsure on how much I am expected to tip for cetrain services when I am in Las Vegas. Last spring I was Vegas and visited Battlefield Vegas (which is a shooting range for rare guns). I tipped the instructor 20$ - he was nice and did a good job.

There was also a driver. He picked up all the guests form the hotels with a military truck and drove them back when they were finished. When I was picked up, the truck was completely full (there was a big, loud group of college kids), but on my way back I was the only passenger. The driver was a nice guy and tipped him 10$. Later I felt that maybe I should have tipped him 20$, but I wasn't sure. So here is my question: Was 10$ an appropriate tip for the driver?

The driver is probably getting some sort of hourly wage. When the truck is full, he can get LOTS of tips. $10 seems more than enough in my book.

You tipped plenty, I dont think any tip is warranted for something like that.

I think that was fine, agree with Merlin that it was maybe a bit on the high side. You definitely didn't tip too low.

Thank you all for your responses. I am glad to hear that I didn't tip too low. The driver was really a nice guy, so I didn't want to come off like I was unhappy with his service.
