I'm curious as well. They seem to be holding the cards close to their vest so far.

From what I hear, the Stevens brothers would like it to be a bit fancier than the average Fremont property, so I'm guessing it may be a while. At least 2018.

Or longer. From what I understand they want to make some changes to the current buildings or make additions so they will need to go through the permitting process. I don't worry about it, when it comes, it will come.

Last year, Derek said the plan at that time was likely to take down the older tower and most of the casino, then add on to the new tower, which was designed to be much taller, then build a new casino with a great pool and other amenities.

According to a source who should know, preparations to demolish the buildings they purchased next to the old Vegas Club are going to start this week. The expansion of Golden Gate is going to start soon. The city has vacated the alleys between the old Vegas Club and the other properties, along with the alley between Golden Gate and the La Bayou site.

Anyone know what they will do with new space with GG? Will it just be a casino expansion?

VitalVegas Twitter indicating Derek may be acquiring more property that would "dramatically" expand the scope of the new place. Apparently is not an existing casino though.

Saw from FHBM that apparently the lot between Plaza and MSS is being acquired by 18 Fremont for the purpose of building the parking garage - that would mean the entire block would be dedicated solely for the property, since I seem to remember hearing that the existing garage would be removed for expansion.

    TBD, next trip
