    Complete speculation.

One of the key components of the sale was the Caesars Rewards program. It would seem counter-intuitive to gut the program that Eldorado paid billions of dollars to acquire.

We live in Orlando and there are always those people who go on about how Disney is doing us all a big favor by offering annual passes. No they are not. If it wasn’t incredibly profitable for them they wouldn’t do it. So obviously the fact that it gets more people to come to the parks more often and spend boatloads of money on souvenirs, snacks, dining, special experiences, etc offsets any discounts you’ve gotten by having an annual pass. It’s the same concept here with any casinos offering a match program. If CET wasn’t benefiting from it they wouldn’t do it. The fact they’ve continued doing it for years means they consider it profitable. They’ve obviously listened to complaints from people who feel they’ve done the Diamond the hard way and offered those folks some extra perks. But whether they had or not, it takes nothing away from you if someone else gets a perk. I’ve never expected comps or perks and am therefore simply happy when I get them. I think sometimes we’ve gotten more simply by being pleasant .. in fact, I know that’s true. Had a housekeeper at Bellagio gift us two free holiday buffets at Christmas simply because she said I was nice to her when dealing with a stained washcloth. All I’d asked for was a replacement. And then the housekeeping manager phoned us later to make sure everything was okay and ordered turndown service for us. Anyway, off topic but kindness matters and I refuse to feel badly for enjoying what perks we do get. And although I may certainly feel some human jealousy over folks getting more than I do, I also don’t begrudge it to them. Good for them!

Ah, that is too bad. I thought I had another option to get you to Diamond but it turns out in order to work your Wyndham account must never have had an upgrade before.

Planning on doing Radisson - Wyndham - Caesar’s. I have a Caesars online account but never picked up a players card. If I collect it on our trip in September will I be eligible for the celebration dinner and show tickets straight away?
I think people who matched Gold MLife in person used to have to wait a week or so?

I've heard this from a lot of people, I believe it's going to happen. It's due to the Diamond Lounges being packed, Long check-in lines that were once for people that earned it, and probably a number of other factors. The people that actually earn these perks are getting pissed and complaining. Full disclosure, I am one of the ones that didn't earn it, but if CET if offering, I have to be a smart consumer.

I'll tell you how this stupid tier matching affected us. There are some of us who don't get to a CET more than once or twice a year and who earning 15,000 tier credits wasn't the easiest thing to do but we did it so we could enjoy those perks including the Diamond lounge. Along comes tier matching and suddenly everyone is diamond and gets to use the lounge. This creates overcrowding so now you need 25,000 tiers credits for free entry. Pisses me off!

How does that have anything to do with tier matching? CET could have just as easily said free entry with 15000 tier credits which someone who matched wouldn’t have. So the crowding wasn’t coming just from tier matches obviously.

Not *everyone* is diamond. Those that match continue to be a very small %. just look at the buffet line at Caesars on a busy day--diamond line is still only 5-10 mins wait vs hours for gold/platinum. And regardless of matching, the real comps come from actual play anyways, so those that played heavily for diamond in 1-2 trips will have great offers

Who does it makes more sense to be mad at:

    1) The people scoring a nice meal and maybe a couple show tickets, or...

    2) The bean counter execs who squeeze every cent and cut back every benefit they think they can in the aims of adding a penny to the EPS so they can score a bigger bonus and take vacays many 7 Star members can only dream about :hmmm:

Hey, quick question in regards to the status match. I'm looking to match to Caesar's diamond for an upcoming trip in June. One way I think i've found is by the following:

Purchase IHG Ambassador ($200) to give IHG Platinum Elite status
Use IHG Platinum Elite to match to Wyndham Platinum
Use Wyndham Platinum to match to Caesars Diamond.

I did read about only new Caesars rewards members being able to tier match, is this the case if matching from Wyndham? If that doesn't apply, then does anyone know if Caesars would allow me to match while I'm in the trial period in Wyndham (Need to stay 14 nights in 90 days to extend to end of 2020)?

Yes, you can match during the Wyndham trial period (then match back to Wyndham later with Caesars diamond) & that route will work for existing Caesars members. Good luck!

You must be Wyndham Diamond I believe to become Caesar's Diamond.

IHG Platinum Elite matches to Wyndham Diamond, which then matches to Caesars Diamond

It's been that way in AC for years but, as @Init2winit said, matched/gifted Diamonds are NOT crowding those lounges. Furthermore, if those particular Diamonds want entry, they have to pay, right? Who is more likely to have the credits to pay, someone who actually plays OR the mooch just in it for a dining credit, tix, and no resort/parking fees?

I think people are REALLY overthinking the level at which "fake" Diamonds inconvenience them. I've been in AC during the busiest times, and have never had a long wait at check-in (yup, peep over at the regular check-in, and get a cot for the wait). Or at the full service Diamond, er, Laurel Lounges out there. Even at Harrah's Philly, maybe I've waited 4 or 5 minutes on non-Diamond Days. The fake Diamonds most seem to be concerned about aren't taking the comp room inventory, nor crowding the lounges, or taking your freeplay, or clogging the lines. Sorry, I'm not in this to feel special about what I spend in casinos, and I'm definitely not concerned with how someone else got their card color. As always, YMMV.

Just got mine after a second attempt, did not contact anyone, just re-submitted the automated tier match.
