    Trips to Las Vegas:

    My Trip Report

This trip is somewhat business related so there's not much of gambling and things to report, but i'll make it quick anyway.i will be back there less than 3 weeks for pure pleasure so i'll write down a detail report...that's a promise.

    Friday 11/28
got a good deal for car rental at Enterprise local office 50% off weekend rental, that's $18.31/day for a full size (Chevy Impala, Nissan Altima, Dodge Charger or similar).called them to come pick me up and they show up 90 minutes late, the reason is they were so busy over there.to make it up for me they upgraded up 2 class without extra charge so i got a luxury sedan (Buick Lucerne CXL) this car has lotta goodies such as OnStar system, leather, memory and heated seats ect....
Heading north on I 15 and 20 minutes later traffic starts to slowing down bumper to bumper, about 1 mile ahead to find out some one dropped a dirt bike on middle of the freeway.can't imagine what's the guy's face look like when he hit the destination then find out the bike gone..."DUDE,where's my bike?".
after sitting in the car for 2 hours,i stopped by the Factory Outlet in Barstow Lenwood exit off 15 to use restroom and get a soda.MAN peoples are everywhere,it was so crownded over there...then it hit me...it's "Black Friday" the day after Thanksgiving, the most busy shopping day of the year.so i was hurry up doing my things, got my soda, hop back on the car.rest of the way traffic is heavier than usual but ok 70-75 mph average speed.
first sight of Las Vegas city at dawn, i pulled out the camera to snap a pic and a red battery indicator flashing then shut down.... WHAT? how the hell is this happen??? i could run to somewhere and get a battery or a charger but decided not to,i have an extra battery and 2 chargers at home.so no pictures for this trip.
it's my first time to stay here but had no trouble pulling in the Treasure Island's parking garage.right at the entrance there's a little check point with 2 guys standing on both sides gave me a "you are not bringing any bomb in here are you? look then said "straight ahead, have a nice day".
walked right in the "Invited Guess Only" line and 2 minutes later got the key for 3 compped nights.the 1 King non smoke room is on the 20th floor.the good: facing Venetian/Pallazo i can see the Strip and the Pirates show, very and i say again very comfortable bed/pillows. the bad: the shows every nights brings noises and at the end they shoot fireworks which are very loud.so if you are not a "deep sleep" kind of person and try to sleep early...you can kiss that room good bye. the ugly: sloooow draining sink, small TV and not so clear channels...maybe i'm so use to large screen and HD channels...but anyway,i'm not complaining...i have no problem staying there again, especially it's free.
after a quick shower i venture down the casino to try my luck.put a $100 bill in a blazing red 7s machine, playing maximum of 3 coins each pull...guess what?...hit nothing,i mean nothing.that's 33 pulls straight without a hit.so i stood up and browse the casino floor, getting to know which machines seating where...then i sat down on a quarter multi-lines multi-bet double diamond machine, put in another $100 bill...i played 9 lines with 2 bet per line so that's 18 quarter per pull.average about 2-3 lost pulls then 1won pull.10 minutes later it down to 7 quarters so i change to 1 credit bet for 7 lines.... BAM...on the last pull 4 of the diamonds line up with a double bar.................on the 9th line.yup, i won NOTHING...it would has been 6400 won if i played like before.
by this time i said to myself "my Lady Luck is not with me,she is lost somewhere" so i decided to call it a night.i NEVER go to sleep that early on the first night but back to back Thanksgiving dinners with lots of alcohol the day before still has affect on me.plus a 4 hours drive earlier would helps either.

    Saturday 11/29
got up took a shower get down stair grab a coffee and a muffin for breakfast then go see 1 of my customers.after that i meet up with a friend at the Bellagio's buffet for lunch,as usual the food was nice over there.then me and him go see another friend at his house.by the time i head back to my room it was around 3pm.took a quick nap got up shower and heading out.TI comped 2 tickets to see KA at the MGM 9:30PM show...so i have few hours to gamble.looking down at the strip there're cars every where bumper to bumper,so i decided to walk and gamble some along the way.
1st stop Venetian, win some loose some then found a machine that keep letting me win after it took my money.so after like 2 hours of playing slots i walked out of there even.next Harrah lost $300 there,PH lost couple hundreds there....got to the MGM about 9:00pm pick up the tickets at the box office, they are center stage 13 row back from the stage, face value of $165 each ticket.got a call from my friend who surpose to show up to watch KA with me,she said something came up last minute she can't make it...ok now i have a extra ticket in my pocket..i saw 4 single girls standing around the box office so i came up and said "i have a extra ticket here,do you guys want it?" "um,how much?" "no,no this is for you free if you want it" "um,but we are 4 of us here" ....i'm thinking "huh?should i buy 3 more for you?" so i told them "sorry i only have 1" then left for an Asian couple "i have 1 extra ticket here do you want it?" the man shook his head and at the same time pulling the female away like i'm a pervert or something.at this point i said screw it,got myself in the line to get in.after the show i thought i didn't like it too much,it more of the story telling than a performing show.walk back and stopped by Paris,CP,Mirage just to loose few more bills here and there.back in TI played some more slots.up and dowm up and down, feel hungry got in PHO located inside the coffee shop and order a "chicken noodle soup" pretty good...the broth is tasty and the aroma quite nice.after the meal go out play some more but hit a losing streak.so i kick myself in the butt to get up go to the room.after checking my bank roll i was down about 3k.hit the bed.

    sunday 11/30
got up late,go for lunch with another customer at #1 restaurant on spring mountain, had a special beef noodle soup with a cup of Vietnamese coffee, they are yum yum.called the hotel's spa to schedule a massage, all booked for the day.drove to a day spa on Sahara & jones, closed Sunday.stop by another massage place on Sahara, next available time is 6:00pm...forget it.
back to the hotel about 2pm play some VP and running around the casino floor try out different machines up down up down.then in the evening i play only $5 and $10 machines... quite surprise not to hit any jackpots over $1200 but manage to win all of my lost money back plus some at 2am go back to the room and found out i was up like 2k.

    Monday 12/01
go down get my coffee and play a little before checking out...lost.but stop just short of putting all profit money back so i end up walk out of there with $500 more than what i arrived with.
the drive home was smooth sailing since most peoples left home on sunday.stopped by the Mad Greek in Baker to have a Gyro.they claims they has THE best Gyro but i would know because the only place i had Gyros is there.with all these years driving back and forth,i only found out about this place recently via Travel channel on TV.

like i said,i'll be back on 11/19-11/22 flying in this time.will have camera ready and everything :D

For a trip that was business related and not much gambling it seems like you did a fair amount of gambling. Nice to hear that you left up 500.

    Trips to Las Vegas:
I had one of those TI strip view rooms above the pirate show last year. I was expecting to watch a few shows but I was never in the room during showtimes! Except once when I was in the washroom getting ready to leave again. Heard the cannons, saw the smoke after I got out of the washroom but then it was over. I think the last show is 10 or 11pm so it's only loud at night if you go to sleep before 11pm...guess that affects 1, maybe 2 people?

    Thanks for the TR!
