I'm tinkering with the idea of extending a trip in June and nixing the one planned for July. In June I'll be at South Point for a few days for a convention. I was thinking about extending that trip, once the convention ends, and staying at the M. I have a few questions your you guys.

1. BJ conditions. Do they have 3/2 and if so at what levels. What are the overall table mins during the week? (Roulette, Craps, Carny Games) I will be there Sun-Thursday.

2. How is the pool scene? Are there enough chairs to lounge in or do they rope off a lot of them.

3. How nice are the rooms? I've seen pics on the net but one can never be too sure.

4. How is the dining in general there?

Thanks VMBers, much appreciated.

Disregard everything I said. I must have been drinking.

I haven't been there in a few years but for a while most of my trips were spent at the M Resort. All the restaurants are good to above average. The rooms were great. The views of the mountains were great. The pools were outstanding and they do not gouge you like the rest of the resorts. Service was always great. Spa and gym were above average. Wine cellar place was awesome. I like the feel of the place. I stopped getting comped rooms when it was sold to the current owners so I haven't been back since. I would recommend the place.

Great rooms and great service. The pool always looks open and available, but we've never used it ourselves. Dining options are somewhat limited, but with Studio B you have one of the better buffets in town at not-outrageous prices. We love the place and at the very least stop by to play and eat every trip, even if we are staying on the Strip.

Stayed two nights in January.
$5 minimums during the day east to find on all of the table games.
Pool scene is one of the best in town and there is plenty of room/lounges
Dining scene is not good IMO. Deli is over priced and average, have not tried the steakhouse and Italian, looked like typical casino high end stuff. Buffet easy to get a comp during the week and is good-not great like it used to be.
Rooms and service among the best in Vegas.
Bottom line-I would not stay there again even with the advent of Lyft/Uber making it affordable to move around. It is dead during the week and absolutely no entertainment other than gambling. If you just want to get away from things and hang at the pool or get a spa treatment then this would be ideal.

Have Fun!

Ate at the sushi place and found it to be very good especially at the $25 price point..

Was there during the week around 9pm and it was nearly empty however I liked the place and the friendly employees and considering staying here in the future

I love the m but they don't comp me so I haven't stayed there

We stayed there last March and maybe a decent amount and we get one or two free nights every other month. Yesterday we got an offer for 2 free nights at the Tropicana and we have never played there (sister property). I would encourage you to try once more time. I loved the M but its pretty far out.

We go there to eat the buffet every trip and I play a little maybe an hour or less each time, I play dollar video poker but it's not enough to generate free room offers I guess. I will have to give them a full day's play one of these times

Ditto here. Gave them a couple hours of play 2 years ago. I've been getting 2 free night , some FSP and 2 free buffets since. Got Tropicana offer in Jan and I haven't stepped foot inside there since 2010!!

Love the compable craft beer selection at the 32 Degree Bar. Need to get back there soon!

My wife and I stayed at The M for a couple nights in October and are planning a three night stay in May. I'm in agreement with the above posts - we really liked the place and enjoyed our stay immensely (hence the planned stay in May). I'm more of a gambler/drinker in Vegas whereas my wife is pool/spa/relax/wine Vegas visitor. The M caters to everything we like with excellent service.

There are only a couple issues that I had. The sportsbook and the coffee. When we went in October, I went with the intention of betting college football and the NFL. I would wager $200-$300 at a time and would have to ask for a drink ticket. Yes, ticket, as in one ticket. I wagered this amount several times (I'm guessing 5-6 times) and each time I had to request drink tickets only to be treated like it was a silly request. The other issue is the coffee. It was bad. I know that not everyone has the same tastes in coffee and I understand that...but this was very poor, weak coffee. Since our trip, I've seen others mention this on various websites so I know I'm not alone on this issue.

You were actually lucky...since they farmed out the sportsbook there is never waitress service and usually they don't give any drink tickets for sports...just tickets for the horses if you bet $50...also terrible customer service there.
Otherwise, the M rooms are excellent, the deli is decent with wide selections, the steak house is good and downstairs they have a very large wine area that is often empty. VP has lots of options and if you do play there you get lots of deals. That is our home base although we are only about five miles away.

We've stayed at The M several times in the past, and have always had a good experience. The rooms are very comfortable 4 star, with no resort fee. Our wifi there was free, but we were on a comped rate. The customer service at The M is excellent, and they have a number of staff members we love who have been there a long time. The blackjack rules are favorable, particularly in the high limit area. I don't recall any 5/6 tables, even at the lower limits. You will find low table limits overall Mon-Thurs. We also like their promotions, including a number of free gift days that you can qualify for with points. I echo Tringlomane's comment about the comped beer at the 32 Degree Bar - excellent selection and reasonable video poker rules.

Forgot to add that if you play slots near 32 Below and ask nicely, the cocktail waitress will bring you a pint of Sierra Nevada instead of the usual, less awesome floor beer selection. :D

Ugh, M resort started charging the $20 resort fee yesterday. Too bad as I was looking hard at this option but with the added $60 for 3 nights and long distance from things, I'm passing.

They must be the last place to charge a resort fee?

Ugh, they did?! I was in town this past weekend and I could have sworn they were still running advertisements claiming otherwise. Yes, they were the last of the resort holdouts-- them and Elara, as far as I know. What a damn shame.
