Trips to Las Vegas

A group of American Legion bikers were going down the road the other day in Freehold NJ and came upon a biker broken down on the side of the road. As bikers do they stopped to help the guy in need and guess who he was,? The Boss ,Bruce Springsteen . They couldnt get his Harley started so he hopped on the back of one of the guys bikes and rode to a bar to wait for his ride to take him home. Of course drinks were on him .
I never met the guy but they say he's a regular Joe considering his celebrity status .

That it turned out to be Springsteen is just cool kismet.

I don't moto, but we see the same thing with bicyclists. We do a number of charity events and every time when we stop by the side -- taking a break, waiting for part of the group, whatever -- most if not all who pass by ask if everything is OK or if I/we needed anything.

It's a good time to consider that despite the fucktards in the news, there are a whole bunch of good peeps out there.

I agree with ken2v. it is really nice to encounter decent peeps. every now and then just when I have given up on this society, a total stranger will do something nice and it makes my day.

now, as for Bruce, I am not sure what category I would put him in, but I will leave that for another messageboard.

There was a similar story a couple years ago, two women were driving to a Dave Mathews concert and stopped to help a bicyclist who had broken down and it was Dave. They gave him and his bike a ride to the venue and got some pics of him in the car.

Years ago we lived about 8 miles out of town in the country. Madelyn Stowe and Brian Benben lived about 2 miles down the road. My husband used to ride a Harley and he dropped his bike at the front gate. (My husband) Didn't hurt himself but couldn't get it back up. Two other guys on Harleys stopped to help him. The guys introduced themselves and one of them told him round about where he lived and to stop by if he wanted to ride some time. Everyone around the area knew where they lived but respected their privacy. My husband wasn't sure if it was him because he didn't remember his name. When he told me - yes it was Brian Benben. Not as famous as Springsteen. My husband would have like to seen Madelyn Stowe in person. He thinks she is hot and he wouldn't forget her name.

But, congratulations, you managed to get off your passive aggressive shot anyway.
no need for that. save that misery for the other hater-message boards. this message board tends to be much nicer / kinder, lets keep it that way.
