Another solid vote for JetBlue. Much better than all the other carriers in the same price range.

    To Vegas?

From BOS, JetBlue on the way to Vegas in the winter because they have the only morning non-stop from BOS. You want a non-stop in the winter to avoid having to deal with weather in 2 places. A 5.5 to 6 hour flight is a drag though, so otherwise Southwest is fine, I actually prefer a pair of SW flights with a short layover when weather isn't a concern.

SW from PHL but the prices lately have been through the roof. Second choice ( a distant one) is from EWR. They have decent prices but no non stops.

Direct SW from PIT. Haven't tried the only other direct flight option through Frontier.

Southwest also has the only nonstop that I'm aware of to/from Hartford, which is great for anyone in CT or central Mass. It does seem, however, that JetBlue very recently ramped up the number of nonstops from JFK and some of those tickets are dirt cheap.

Yeah Southwest used to have one or two from MHT until a couple of years ago and also PVD I think.

SW opened their schedule for my Jan/Feb dates today and I committed both ways @ $170 each way. JetBlue requires a tremendous amount of babysitting to get the lowest price on the morning non-stop, and with baggage fees and the extra space seat it usually ends up being $300+, so I decided not to sweat it out with them this time, plus I'm not really crazy about the 6 hr flight.

I like Virgin better than Jetblue
but I haven't flown lately so I'm not "current".

From DC, we have 3 options. American, United and Southwest have direct flights. We will not take connecting flights. We tend to fly either American or United.

Delta or United. From where I live it's pretty much the same distance driving to Newark or Philly.
