We are headed out in February again. While making plans with the other couple coming we got on this topic. Funny enough none of the horror stories including drunken shenanigans, surprise bar bills after buying the first round of drinks:cry: lost luggage or lost money even made the top ten. It was always interactions with other guests. Top ones being part of a table and having another player harass and yell at the dealer when losing or the worst taking it out on another player. I get that basic strategies should be played but please don't humiliate others. Those who talk down to the cocktail servers and bartenders:grrr:. And THEN the lines at check in and players card desk...eyesh we know how important you are but please realize that those in front of you have the same colored card/tier level. Don't get me wrong, we love the place and all the interesting people we meet BUT man the bad behavior we witness sometimes is astounding .

Having to go home takes the most fun out of the Vegas trip!

Getting spit on in the ear and side of the face by the CD dude wasn't too much fun either...

Agree with OP. People are the pretty bad in general, but when they're on vacation they are the WORST.

Went to laughlin last year in mid summer. I took my mom. We usually go in summertime, hell, she likes the heat, its the desert so heat is expected. the night before we left i broke my little toe. swollen up and punding and hurt like hell the whole trip. to top it off it was like record setting heat over 120 the whole time so i didnt think it would be right to have mom walking around in that. certainly during the day. [retty much just hung out at the hotel and in the room. not that it sucked, of course it was still fun but we like to explore so could not do much of that.

Cheap traveling partners while in Vegas annoy me. They usually only annoy me once as I will not fall victim to their embarrassing cheapness twice.

Beggars, pitch men, street performers and slot club lines. Years ago some of the Station properties had a machine that you stuck your driver’s license in and it would spit out a copy of your slot card. I thought that was going to take off like TITO, but sadly they disappeared.

Lines. Timeshare dweebs. Slow elevators. Soda and beer that are not cold but luke-cool. Tight slots. Room air conditioners that sound like a rattletrap. Jammed TITOs. Insurance hard sell at rental car desk.

That water and every other drink that comes from a tap, tastes like chlorine. Even the most expensive drinks in the most expensive restaurants and clubs taste like it, because they are mixed with soda from the tap or from the chlorine ice cubes they add.

The way I try to avoid it, is by drinking slushies and beer. Not really a punishment. Or mix my own drinks in my room. And for example at buffets I usually drink orange jus (without ice!), that comes without chlorine too.

Dealers who treat you like an inconvenience.

Losing cash on a fun table leaves me with the feeling of 'oh well, at least I had a great time'.

Losing at a boring table leaves me with the feeling 'never coming back to this dump'. Even winning feels more like a transaction rather than entertainment.

"Don't" bettors at the craps table can bite me.

Now, I believe everyone has the right to bet how they want. But don't bettors make the game less fun for everybody. I resent when they show up because I need to pull my bets, color up and walk next door to enjoy a fun cohort again.

Pepsi. For some reason (I know it is contractual), the majority of the casinos I play in carry Pepsi. UGH! Slow walkers who block you from moving around them.

    One thing . . . . losing.

In Las Vegas, CET IS a Pepsi shop It's the ONLY knock I have against CET casinos, but I've learned to drink Ginger Ale in CET casinos.
    MGM is a Coke shop.

Number 1, by far - stupid-drunk, angry players at the table. I actually succeeded in making one color-out once by pointing out to him every single time somebody's "wrong" play ended up helping the table...and, of course, I gleefully pointed out to the entire table the couple of times he himself actually made an incorrect basic-strategy play. But most of time, they're just a downer for the entire table, for the entire time they're there.

Number 2 - making alcohol-induced stupid plays at the tables. I get so ticked at myself when I do that, I (briefly) consider not drinking for the rest of the trip...fortunately, I usually come to my senses the next morning! ;)

Number 3 - anti-smoking zealots who arrive at my smoking table and give me grief for actually smoking a cigarette. I'm not talking about me exhaling toward them or leaving a burning cigarette in the ashtray - I'm talking about grief the instant I light one up.

Number 4 - beggars & bums hitting me up for money or smokes... & no-talent buskers on Fremont. Admittedly, this only kills my fun for a minute or two, but still - the overall trip would be a LOT more fun without them!

I remember back in 2006 I forgot to pack additional Contact Lenses and one of mine ripped.
I had to call my Eye Doctor and have them Fax my Script to the Resort where I was staying
then take a Cab (half Blind) to the nearest Eye Doctor to buy a Replacement pair of Lenses.
Total P.I.T.A! Lesson Learned. Now I pack a Full Box on every trip.

Ah yes, the anti-smokers. I get it smells bad BUT I couldn't agree more of the annoyance of sitting somewhere enjoying my cigarette and someone sits down next to you and starts waving their hand and fake coughing. With that said I will always ask permission to smoke when I sit down next to someone new. One of the reasons I like the HL room, usually open places where I can play and smoke and not bother anyone.

Drinking induced bad decisions....after going thru the notes on our last 6 trips I noticed a pattern. I always did the most damage to my BR on the very first night and that's also usually the heaviest day of drinking. Coincidence...I think NOT:drunk:

The SO just mentioned how much he hates seeing people losing ,ones you can JUST tell that can't afford. He plays poker and BJ and says you can see it in their eyes and desperate plays that something is off or they begin to yell at the dealers. He will also color up and leave the table.

Sorry guys, I know this p r obaly goes both ways but my GF just pointed out how other guest have no problem making suggestive and sometimes crude comments to us ladies at the tables. Our last trip ,6 ladies came back to Flamingo after going to Omnia, so we were all in little dresses and wow did we get some interesting ones at BJ tables.
