While I would have never taken my kids to Vegas when they were young I don't particularly care when I see/encounter them while there.

However I was disappointed on my last trip when I make sure I had a friend copy a tv series that he raved about for my in flight distraction. I had my anticipated 4 hours of video to keep my busy on my flight when a family decides to sit by us. I hoped the baby would not be a screamer and hoped the 4/5 year old behaved.

What I had not realized but quickly found out that Game of Thrones is not a series you want to want within eyeshot of a 5 year old. Within a few minutes of booting up the movie and watching a man rip off a woman's top half bend her over a rock and ... well you get the drift ... I quickly shut the lid on my laptop and put it away for the trip. Should have realized that anything by HBO is not a good idea in public.

By the way the kids rarely made a peep and behaved very well. Kudos to those parents.

The strollers make it easy to stash the kids under the table as mommy/daddy place black jack or craps. :wink2::wink2:

I think my original post came out wrong. I was at the airport and my plane was delayed by 3 hours. That situation alone made me stressed out and then I see all these kids running around with no parents trying to stop them. Now since I'm in Vegas I don't mind the families with kids it is only the family with kids that are out at 1 or 2 a.m. pushing strollers and the kids crying because they want to go to sleep. The families are on vacation and the kids are well behaved are perfectly fine it is only the kids who aren't well behaved not fun and these are the parents I believe you should not be taking your kids to Vegas. I think we can all agree on this point, but if their kids are well behaved then the parents should take them on a vacation. There's nothing wrong with this as long as the kids are mature enough to be on the trip.

I used to wonder why people complained about kids in vegas. I never felt like I saw too many and it never bothered me. But at MGM last week it was packed with kids, probably cuz of Bieber. I still didn't care too much but at one point really late at night I'm in the casino having a smoke and I turn around and this lady with a tiny baby is right behind me. I felt like an ass for smoking a cig right near this baby but at the same time was wondering WTF is this lady thinking??

No reason to feel like an ass, and that you do attests to the fact that you get that we're all in this together. But that clearly was just a bad choice on the part of a parent.

My wife and I just got home from a week in Vegas. I couldn't agree more, it was everywhere too. On Fremont and the strip there was strollers and screaming kids everywhere, even at night. Its not a family destination, they tried some 20 yeas ago and it didn't work out. If you are going to force your kids to go to Vegas with you at least make them behave themselves. I don't know why, but the crowds are changing from a few years ago.

I haven't personally taken my 11 year old to Vegas but my brother and his wife took her so they could go to Monster Jam. My child won't go to Vegas with me until she turns 21 but I did let her go. They took her to Freemont st and boy did she come back with some crazy stories:nono. She ended up having a good time but it's not my thing to travel to Vegas with her.

Funny story we where on the bus this past May coming back from Freemont around 5am drunk as he** we were those drunk people on the bus:beer: anyway there was a guy and his family and the kids were about 4 and 8 little kids and he started yelling at us to shut our mouths there were children on the bus so my best friend says Hey buddy you should get the parent of the year award for having your kids all night so STFU. Needless to say the next stop the guy and his family got off the bus. LOL
