I already unpacked and put it away, but will try to pull it back out and post a pic when I am repacking for the second half of this report

Not me. I was on my way to the airport at 630. Plus, I use a hiking pole to get around, not a cane

When we were staying at the Wynn early, this month, they were conistently playing bad covers of 80s and 90s music (Cure, Hall & Oates, etc.) Some versions were so bad it took us awhile to figure out the song and the original group.

Thanks for the report, I enjoy your TRs. As I always say, I need to gamble with you sometime as you always win! I just experienced my first non-losing Vegas trip in a decade which was nice and I'd like to keep it going lol.

No worries. Even if it's ages from now it would be nice to see.

Can I also say it's really impressive that you are already unpacked? When I get back from Vegas I just crash and finish unpacking days later though I typically have a lot to unpack. That's another advantage of traveling light!

I always try to unpack within 24 hours of returning from a trip, but today was especially fast because i knew I needed to put all the milkbar goodies in the fridge

FWIW, I totaled up everything from the trip. I made $30,066 in the casino and spent exactly $120 out of pocket (not including tips for dealers). So obviously very pleased with that result

I would say - summer blacks/tans/ beiges (not white) linen. (Also spent time on the packing light site; great inspiration :)

Congrats on the win UK, so sweet.
Just catching up & living vicariously through your report UK. After visiting 2 -3 times a year for 20 years I'm jonesing after 18 months without my fix!

Can you give the BJ lay of the land in the Talon?
4 deck, 6 deck, 8 deck shoe games? Any hand held or double deck? Stand soft 17 I assume? Is surrender allowed? Limits?
I'll occasionally play the hl room downstairs but think the Talon is probably out of my bankroll.

One comment on the guy hitting the 12 vs 4. Depending on the make-up of the 12 it could be the proper play.
In 2, 4 and 6 deck games if the 12 is composed of a 10 and 2, the correct mathematical play is to hit.
Very, very close but the math says hit!
It's not me saying it rather it comes from the Wizardofodds.
Here are his exact numbers for the 4 deck game from his site.

    upload_2021-4-18_20-52-9.png

.211151 loss for standing vs .208764 for hitting.

All other 12's ie 9-3, 8-4 and 7-5 are stands.

The one extra 10 out of the deck is enough to reduce the odds of breaking to make hitting the correct play. Again, verrrry close...but correct none the less.
Just an interesting anomaly if you're a math geek like me looking for every little edge!

Thanks again for a very enjoyable read.

That was my gut too. I'm bringing some white linen shorts (because they fit well LOL), but dropped the white linen pants and a second white line top. Will save those for June/July trip. Bringing white jeans instead, which are heavier and look more year-round.

Other than the pics I took on that side of the Talon room, I didn't come anywhere close to the BJ tables so I cannot answer your questions. There was never more than two BJ games open in there. In the downstairs high limit I saw up to seven BJ tables open. I saw shoe games (not sure how many decks) that were S17 with a $300 minimum. I assume Talon was higher than that. I did not see any pitch games. Generally speaking, Talon had many fewer tables open Friday and Saturday when compared to the high limit. No open roulette in Talon and never more than three bac and two BJ tables.

As for the story from Caesars, I know there are circumstances where you would hit that 12, but this was not one of them. Guy made a couple other mistakes too on soft hands, so I doubt it was part of some savvy strategy I couldn't comprehend, lol. I just included that story because his irrational confidence in the play tickled me.

@Flowers, I'm taking white for next week. It's going to be quite nice. I don't like to follow the 'rules'. :p

    Awesome TR, loved it all,
I gather you aren't a smoke fan but this is real and not a joke?
"What is wrong with this picture?"

I don't even smoke cigars but this whole layout (especially the sign) makes me want to.
I guess if they only let you smoke at the tables or in a private room that makes sense. sort of.

Other than one floor supervisor in the high limit room (lol), Cosmo is taking smoking pretty seriously for the time being. They are pretty much limiting it to the slots, gaming tables, sports book, and a few bars. Lots of signage prohibiting smoking while just walking through the casino. I saw security ask people to stop as they walked through
