The Rio's wine celler

Anyone ever been to this? I like to visit winery's to sample different wines and was told this was really good.

I'm usually at Caesar's or the Wynn.

Anyone want to share their experience at the Wine Cellar at the Rio or have a recommendation?

I've been many times, but not in about four or five years. It is spendy, as you'd expect, but they in the past did have tastes/flights. I see it more as a place to drink wine than sample wine.

 

It's been a few years since I've been. They had wine tasting/pairings when we were last there. Funny just a few days ago, we decided to make it a point of going on our July trip.

 

I'm a big fan of the Wine Cellar. Big leather couches if you don't want to sit at the bar. Quietly classy. If you are knowledgeable, they have whatever you want. If you're not, give them an idea what you want (white, red, dry, etc.) and they'll guide you, plus a nice cheese platter(flight) to complement the wine. I'm in there a couple times every trip to the Rio.

 

I attended a meet held there from one of the other Vegas boards several years ago. Yep, classy place!
