    My Trip Report

I am back (with my partner and the little fanatic in tow) and I am struggling with what to title this trip report. This trip is shaping up to be an almost identical clone of my last Ever Expanding Trip report. So I could just use the same name Part II. Or I could Coopla this sucker up and call it the Ever Expanding Trip Report Redux. But if I do that, I may as well snowclone the report and call it Electric Boogaloo! But knowing that my odd sense of humor doesn't always translate well (snowclone ... hilarious) and not being able to think of a decent name, I decided to title the report after a (nerdy) literary and pop culture reference. Still, I think I can offer a no-prize (TM Stan Lee) to anybody that can provide me a better title. Anywho, here's the precap of what to expect ....

I already told you. This trip is a clone of my last Vegas jaunt. Seriously. Just go read that report to know what will happen (and keep your fingers crossed that the tables work out well again). Even the genesis of this trip is eerily similar to the last one.

Several months ago, my partner and I planned a trip to Asheville for next weekend. There is a resort there with an interesting spa that we really want to check out. But about six weeks ago when i called that resort to schedule some spa appointments, I found out the spa was already booked for that entire weekend! We contemplated rebooking our visit, so I asked the spa when their calendar was open for new appointments. The answer ... June! WTF! Well, we cancelled that trip and discussed finding something else to do since my partner had already put in for a day off from work. Pretty quickly, we settled on Vegas because its easy for us to set up and she always has a good time. I emailed my Aria host and we are all set for three nights in the skysuites.

Fast forward to two weeks ago. We are sitting in the room of another resort in Cary, North Carolina on a Friday night when I opened my email, look at it, and start laughing. My partner looks my way and asks what's up. I smirk and ask her if she feels like working from a Vegas hotel suite for a few days just like we did last month. She asks why and I show her the email open on my tablet: its another shopping event offer from the Wynn, lol. Its deja vu all over again, lol.

She loves those events and agrees its worth the extra effort of having to get up early and work from Vegas for a few days. So i reach out to our Wynn host and tack three more nights onto our trip before we arrive at Aria. So now, we start the trip tomorrow night from the Wynn tower suites.

Our plans are predictable. While my partner works the first few days, I will entertain the little fanatic. Its actually going to be kind of cool while we are there, but I think it will be warm enough for a trip to the tower suites and sky pools in the middle of the week. Otherwise, I forsee trips to the circus circus and NYNY arcades in his future. Obviously, there will be some shopping in the later afternoons when my partner has finished her work. No meals planned at Wynn, but we do have reservations later in the week at Moneyline, Javiers, Bardot, Julian Serrano, and Nomad Library. I have been enjoying the recent pics from the Bellagio conservatory, so I am sure I will go over there at some point. And while at Wynn, I plan to pop in at Resorts World, mainly just to make sure my CL stays active. I also intend to walk up to Fontainebleau again and get my CL issues resolved (there is an old thread I started months ago documenting my problems there, but a host assures me everything is ready now; I will believe it when I see it). I have an appointment at the Aria spa next weekend and my partner is seeing her favorite therapist at the Cosmo spa next weekend as well.

Of course, there will also be some gambling. Most likely, I will be in the casinos either early in the morning before the little guy gets going or after dinner when he is settled down. Before last trip, I felt very pessimistic about the tables, but it all worked out extremely well. This trip, I am alternating between optimism and pessimism. Ideally, I will get up early and then be able to slow it down to lock in a win. Last month I played a solid mix of my favorite games (bac, BJ, craps and roulette). Not sure what I am feeling for this trip, but I am out there long enough to play it all if I feel like it. The goal, of course, is to continue the win streak I have been riding since late last year. That's what I am hoping for. But I feel due for a loss, which I know a few readers (maybe more than a few based on the PMs I received the last couple days, lol) are hoping for. Either way, I will do my best to recap the most interesting parts of the gambling sessions.

I don't really want this report to be a clone of the last one, even if the plans are shaping up to be very much the same. So, I hope I add some new stuff that keeps people interested in reading along. I asked near the end of my last report what additional stuff people would like to see. Of course, someone mentioned pics of the food. I will try. I usually forget to snap pics before I start eating, but I will try to do better at that this trip. The second request was for insight on the gambling decisions I make. I will try. I'm not exactly sure what people want to know about my thought process, but I will try to add something. It also occured to me that certain things I take for granted (either because it is old hat or because I have documented previously and repeatedly many times in the past) should be included in this report. For example, I will post pics of the suites. I don;t do as much of that now because I have done it before and figure nobody wants to see it again. But I realized recently that not everyone has read my old reports, lol (kind of an obvious realization). So what is old to me might be new to the reader. So i will try and include more.

Anywho, if there is anything additional you would like to see or know about, chime in and let me know. Hope you follow along. I am going to start packing tonight. We leave for the airport tomorrow afternoon ....

He is probably a little too young for that. He plays the NES emulator on my desktop every now and then, but he doesn't have much of an idea for how to use the controller. But this is a good idea for a couple years from now

I’d like to see a photo of your luggage packed with Eataly groceries from resort credit excess.

    Good luck, and excelsior!

lol, it might happen! We have almost eaten all of our Eataly excess from our January visit and we are going to Nomad Library for dinner one night. So who knows! But there will definitely be a lot of junk from the Wynn shops. My bag is going ou there half full but coming home overflowing

Given the launch date: “No Fooling; It’s Actually a Different Trip”

I’ll be at the 4S on the weekend. Hoping for pool weather.

I'm the type that only likes the pool when its hot. I don't even dip my toes in unless the temp is pushing 80. So we should be good to go on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, maybe even Tuesday. But next weekend? Right now it doesn't look like the temp will break 70  I think the spa and its hot pools will be the plan those days

Yeah, the high on Friday is predicted to be 56. Not exactly what I expect from Vegas in April

Wow! We have got sunburn in April in years gone by. That forecast is only a couple of degrees warmer than UK!

Me too! The weather is so strange this year. But as long as Vegas doesn't get any black blizzards or wind storms carrying locusts, I think I can get through a week out there

Have a wonderful time. I hope the weather is kinder than the forecast.

I really enjoy your reports. The addition of the little Fanatic activities is lovely. My OH’s grand babies visit us in Spain every year and we try to do a lot of different things with them too. ❤️

I sense you could cut.n.paste passages from the prior TR and no one would give a tort... it would still be an entertaining read... Hoping for cut.n.paste narratives of the winning sessions... Best of Luck.

I wish I had something new for him this trip. Everything I have planned is all stuff he has done previously. Even the tower suites pool and skypool. But those were log enough ago he may not remember them

I started packing. And by started, I mean all I have done is download stuff to watch on the plane (the rest of 3 Body Problem on Netflix and the first few episodes of season two of Tokyo Vice on Max). I have started thinking about what clothes to pack. I will likely bring the tee I picked up at Death valley in december. Its proximity to Vegas makes it seem appropriate. I say that knowing I saw someone wear a death valley t-shirt at disney world last weekend, which is only a few thousand miles away lol. So maybe proximity is overrated

Springs preserve near Meadows mall is where i was thinking of. You can do the full tour or just the history part that has the dinosaurs.
