Well.... can’t wait, but I’m anticipating this being the best pool in Vegas!
I flew in and out and for a tour of the construction last week. It’s going to be a nice place all the way around.
It is definitely going to be set up differently from other pools.
Man, that whole facility is going to put a hurting on the neighboring casinos.
Any photos from your tour? Would live to see the inside. Maybe I’ll bug my host again for a tour.
When is the open date again
Pool is supposed to open with the casino on 10/28/20.
It'll definitely rival the GN for best pool downtown, as the big screen will be its big attraction as opposed to the Nugget's shark tank.
However, I think its pretty hard to top the nicer Strip pool areas like Wynncore, Bellagio, Mandalay. I haven't checked out MGM's, but that appears to be nice as well.
Was just listening to Tim Dressen's Five Hundy podcast this week and he anticipated there will be gaming tables within Circa's pool complex. Will be very happy if that's the case, particularly if Stevens sticks with the 3/2 tables he has within the casinos at the GG and D. I remember having a blast playing $5 3/2 blackjack in the Nugget's pool area in 2009. Next year came back out and they had switched the tables to garbage 6/5.
I've got mixed feelings on the big screen. It'd be awesome for watching an event like a ball game. I'd totally be there for a college football Saturday if they were showing a game I was interested in.
It'd be less than awesome any other day when I'm just trying to relax at the pool and enjoy some mid day peace and quiet.
Also...they probably won't let me choose the channel.
It'll be interesting to see how that plays out.
I love all sports but what if they show a boring game or when I'm not interested in. I hope that screen is able to show multiple games at once ?
I can't wait to watch Gunsmoke, The Rifleman, Bonanza, High Chapparal, or Tales of Wells Fargo on that big tv while staying cool in the pool.
How about Have Gun-Will Travel? The Paladin was one tough hombre.
I like that it is ADULTS ONLY hotel!
They will have to price their rooms at much higher prices than other downtown hotels, with such big investments. I am not sure if downtown clientele is ready for that.
They will have to go for strip fans, but then Bellagio is so iconic and Aria is so cool and Caesar’s is so huge that one wonders how that will happen. We will see.
I like downtown inherently, not because of price. I can't be the only one. I'd pay Bellagio prices to stay at Circa.
But you aren't wrong. It is a gamble and it WILL be informative of how development proceeds downtown going forward. If they can fill the rooms at substantially higher room rates and bust past break even, you'll see another block or two get leveled downtown and rebuilt by the end of the decade.
That would be ok, too. I wouldn't complain if they showed some movies either. True Grit, Hondo, Big Jake, Pale Rider, a Fistful of Dollars, Unforgiven, Lonesome Dove....any of those would be great on that big ol' tv.
Man you'd be a prune after watching all of Lonesome Dove. I hope the pool has extra filters.....
Looks like more and more of downtown morphing into Strip II.
I don't believe my vanity would tolerate that Woodrow.
Apparently this pool is going to have a name, which reportedly will be released at 900 PT today. Wonder if any other announcements regarding the property will be made today.
Separate names with a comma.
