There was a link to an article about the Linq opening in one of the other threads that stated that, when the Linq "opened," the 1000+ remodeled rooms became available while the non-remodeled room were taken out of circulation to be redone.

Good to know. All the info I found on the website suggested the same. Thanks again.

I can confirm this. When I checked in, they gave me a two double instead of the 2 queen that I booked, claiming there was a mistake on my booking and they only had limited rooms available because all the other old IP rooms were closed and being renovated. They promised to give me a two queen room for night number two (which they did, and PS, queen rooms are twice the size of a double room, so make sure to choose queen room over double). They also gave me $30 food and beverage for my trouble.

I stayed at the Linq and got back today. We stayed in the one tower which had all the rooms renovated (according to the girl behind the check-in counter) and the only tower with access to guests. There was only one set of guest elevators thus only one tower was getting booked, if this info helps.

Well it's been over a month in since the new rooms came out...any report on how they are? Are they worth booking sometime? The generic pics on the website are just that...generic...

    079.jpg 082.jpg 076.jpg 074.jpg 077.jpg here are pics. I checked in November 1st for a week. I did enjoy, I have stayed here the last 5 years and never had a bad time or room. 069.jpg 069.jpg 073.jpg .

The one thing my girl does hate is they got rid of the Fat Tuesday, but we did find one down the street by Casino Royale. I don't believe the first guest certificate because we had to wait an hour to get our room since we there before check-in. If it is brand new and never used why would they have to wait for housekeeping to release it. It should have been ready to go at 9 am then not 4 in the afternoon, but no big deal to me I planned on waiting. Also you can kind of see in one of the pics they are re-doing the roof.

Those do look much improved, we stayed at IP for a few years in a row. always got comped or paid $17 rates, now that they got all hoity toity, we do't even get offers for the Linq/Quad/IP whatever anymore. And instead of Oshea's along the strip we have a big white wall....wonderful

No complaints about my visit to the Linq in November and I'm in the progress of booking there again for March. I miss it haha they have great food selections, great slots and great variety of table games. The rooms were nice to look at and comfortable to sleep in, and above all else, the location may just be the best in Vegas.

I read that the Linq renovation cost $223 million. And it has 2,256 rooms.

Which comes to nearly $100,000 per room... but if we guess that half of the renovation cost was put into the lobby, casino and other public areas... then they spent around $50,000 per room on renovations.

So it should be much nicer than Imperial Palace.

Stayed here a few weeks ago, big improvements on the rooms, hallways, etc. Elevators werent an issue, and the casino is also much better than it used to be. The best thing about the Linq is that Osheas is attached to it, which you can walk through in 30 seconds and then you are into the Linq promenade, which is very convenient. Still has the worst parking garage ive ever seen though, make sure to valet.

I actually like the Linq casino. I was there 2 weeks ago and i spent most of my time there and Cromwell on the north side and Paris/Planet Hollywood on the south of Flamingo blvd. The Linq Hotel is still not showing me comped rooms for a week, but now that i can pay my resort fee (about $125), through my Social Rewards, i may consider staying here. The rooms look nicer than Harrah's (which i can get comped).
The Linq casino has tons of Monitors to watch games, and i like hanging out at the Linq entertainment complex in between gambling sessions and/or whatever.

Only thing I disliked was the security at the elevators hounding everyone to show their room keys, no matter what time of day. A lot of people who left their card in their rooms with their significant other were forced to go to the front desk and get another card before going back up to the room. Another reason why I always ask for 1-2 extra keys to just stuff in my wallet.

One thing that is great about the Linq is the drink service. I don't know why more properties don't use iPads to get orders, then have servers bring it to you. I think Rio does too, but that's not enough to get me there.

Cromwell has done the pad service since it opened. I was at Cromwell the first week it opened in May, again in August, and just a couple of weeks ago. Cromwell is one of my favorite places to play. The CW's are awesome, always friendly, always personable, and always gorgeous. Can't wait to go back in the Spring.

That is correct, I forgot that. I enjoyed gambling there. Maybe it's catching on?

They originally showed a 'cabana room' on the website....but I don't see it as an option now.

Is there such a room still?

Well, i have made my decision, the Linq Hotel/Casino will be my home base from now on. I love the look of the new rooms, 47" LED TV, fridge, plug ins next to the bed, i like the not so traditional look of the drawers, i like that the rooms, although smaller in sq ft than others, it's not cluttered with furniture.
They will have a new pool twice over with one being a day club. I do like the Casino and of course the Linq center. There are only 2 hotels at CET, at least right now, that i can book for 5 nights comped......Harrah's and Rio. I love Rio, stayed there last May, but i spend most of my time on the Strip. Harrah's i haven't stayed at since the 90's, but it just doesn't appeal to me.

On my calender for the Spring, i can book the Linq $28-$34 Sun-Fri. And i can pay the resort fee using my rewards credits (which i did a couple of weeks ago). I also love the fact that they have fridges, so i can stock up on stuff from CVS/Walgreens, and that they have security at the elevators.

Can't wait to hear from more people who have stayed in the new rooms.
