Here's our information from the stay at Flamingo & the "Go Pool". The object of the game is to provide a "family" venue and an adult-entertainment (scantily clad, lots of alcohol (but you will be told to douse your weed)) pool. You have to show a photo ID to get into the Go pool...even if you're a guest of the Flamingo. Bag searches? Yeah, security is enforced here, but I can't imagine what you'd want to "smuggle" into the pool area. Remember...no weed smoking, so there's that. The trip report outlines what we spent (cabana, booze, etc.).

If there is a special event going on they may charge you. Or sometimes you have to make it to the pool before a certain timer. Otherwise no. Check the website for specific event dates/times.

You also need ID for the Linq pool as its 21+. I learned that the hard way once when my ID was currently at the Excalibur lost and found when the doorman at the Linq pool asked for it. That was an hour wasted retrieving it...

Isn't there an entrance fee to the pool if you are not staying onsite?

Vaguely remember them allowing you to use other CET pools when staying at another CET property.

No fee. If you use the diamond card line they may ask for your diamond card but otherwise they just ask for ID.to the go pool

Last year there was a reduced fee if you were staying at a different CET property.

These are the types of policies that change..so OP just be aware that what once was the policy may not be the following year.

They can’t charge to gamble (State Law), tell them you’re going into gamble at the outdoor craps table.

That part is true, but their tables are not always open. You also have to then be willing to play the game of "will they bother to check, and look for me." It would be easier to pay the entrance fee.

Where we lay our head is all that matters for us when booking a room. We've stayed at both, as well as Harrah's quite often. Both Linq and Flamingo are extremely convenient, it really doesn't matter when going to out eat or drink. Some of the Flamingo elevators are SLOW and rickety and there are some long walks down hallways, depending on which tower and room. Hard to beat the Flamingo pool. Flamingo casino wait staff are not the friendliest and are extremely slow, I hate to say it, but its likely because of their "many years of experience" (trying to be politically correct). They must have a very strong union there. If sharing a room, the sliding doors to the bathroom in the Flamingo don't provide much privacy, but the opaque glass walls can provide a nice shadow dancing show.
