Does anyone watch this? I just finished Season 2. Man, what a convoluted and bizarre story line this is. Half the time, I really don't know what is going.

I think the acting is very good, it's just that I have to sometimes rack my brain trying to figure out how it all ties together, but eventually, I more of less do. It ropes you in because you just have to see what happens next.

I just can't quite get a handle on the Guilty Remnant. I know they are trying to make sure no one forgets the departure, but what is the deal with the violence.

It's been renewed for a third and final season.

I enjoyed the first season. I recorded season 2 but haven't watched yet.

Breeze, one of the producers and co-creators is Damon Lindelof, of "Lost" fame. I remember when The Leftovers came out a couple of years ago I read where he said in an interview that there probably would be some unanswered questions at the end of the series just like there was in Lost. Not sure if this is what you want to hear but thought it might give some context.

I never watched Lost, but have heard enough about it to know that things got crazy at the end.

I was going to post a synopsis, but that's not fair to those who haven't seen it. I think I have figured out the Guilty Remnant. That's all I'm going to say. I don't want to be a hypocrite as far as spoilers.

I encourage anyone sitting on the fence to watch the show. It really gets you to think.

Season 2 is probably the best season of any television show ever. The most important thing it added was a sense of humor, so if you were turned off by the immense bleakness of season 1...well I won't say that's totally gone but it's definitely more well-balanced. Just look up the season 2 opening credits and compare that to season 1's and the change in tone is apparent. Adding wonderful actors like Regina King certainly didn't hurt either.

The story line and questions it presents isn't really as important as the themes. The first season was based off a book that the author wrote after 9/11 about massive shared grieving experiences, there really wasn't ever supposed to be any explanation of what happened. And although just hearing 'Lost' may turn some people off with how convoluted it became, the fact that they are wrapping up this story in just one more season is good news to me. The trailers definitely look wonderful. Obviously I'm glad that a new show came around to fill the void this one will leave (that show is The Expanse if you're not familiar with my current avatar).

I absolutely love this show but feel that is the minority opinion in general. My good recommendation track record has been tarnished according to most of my friends because of it but I say the show is not stupid, YOU ARE STUPID lol. I also think Vinyl was awesome too (another HBO show that gets knocked). Leftovers had some of the most emotion triggering scenes of any show I have watched. The feels were real many times in both season 1 and 2. Cool, weird, different, strange, awesome are all the words that come to mind.

Was mostly trying to encourage vegasvic and Joe to give season 2 a chance, but yeah, of course none of us know what is really going on. All I know is that in the universe of the Leftovers there definitely is a God and he definitely favors Kevin.

I don't know what I think about that show. After each episode I was like well I guess I'll give it one more episode. I kept doing that until I watched both seasons, so I guess I like it? I'll watch the third season when it comes out, when is that?

I watched and enjoyed season 1, although I wasn't thrilled with the ending of that season. Started watching season 2, saw the birthing scene, and said I'm out. Then, randomly, a couple weeks later, I watched the episode where the son was trying to infiltrate the GR and I got hooked again. Didn;'t go back and watch the eps I missed, but I could piece together what I had missed. And the rest of season 2 was tremendous. So I will probably watch 3.

Anyone watch season premiere? Was brilliant and darkly humorous once again, the unrelated opening much better this year than the cave woman of last season.

Binged watched season 1 and 2 over the weekend; finished just in time to watch season 3 premier.

We like it - different then anything else we watch regularly - Season 2 has it's slow moments for sure but they were tolerable.

I think the premier (trying not to spoil it) presented an interesting idea that'll carry this season.

    Just watched the finale.

    Fantastic!

Emmys for the series and for Carrie Coon.

As good as television can get.

Yes, it was an interesting show. But no explanation as to where everyone went. Ending was disappointing to me. Very good acting tho.

She explained perfectly where everyone went.

    It's about parallel dimensions.
