Thanks for the heads up on the Downtown Cocktail Room happy hour (4-7pm Mon-Sat). I have a reservation at Laundry Room right around the corner later this week for 7:15pm, so we're gonna pre-game at DCR happy hour until then. Awesome to experience both since they're so close (according to the map anyway).

They share the same block, DCR is on one end and Commonwealth is on the other. If you're walking from Fremont Street/The D you'll hit DCR first.

I just read it's hard to find your way "in" to DCR - which street are the doors on, and what's the trick to get inside? LOL

The entrance is on N Las Vegas Blvd right next to the Hunter S Thompson mural. I dare not spoil the fun of realizing the trick to get in, you'll enjoy it and then from there on out you'll enjoy watching others when you're sitting inside. I know I giggled when I took the fiancee there for the first time. Enjoy the bathrooms as well!

Once you're in, it really is fun to watch others try. LOL.

I just cheated and found a video on YouTube... I didn't want to be that guy... but I'll gladly let my buddy give it a whirl a few times.

Just to update this post, went to the Laundry Room and loved it. Very cool, laid back vibe in there, and the drinks were amazing. I was part of a group of 8 (we booked as 2 groups of 4, since 4 is the max they allow on a single reservation), and everyone loved it and can't wait to go back. I highly recommend it.

I agree, it's a show/experience in and of itself, and one of the lesser-known gems downtown.

    If it's after 6, I'm wearing a tux. What am I? A farmer?
