    Pods/Cabins

According to a friend currently in Vegas... there are 13 or 14 of the pods/cabins installed.
1/2 way there. Should be about 18 on by the time I get there on Sunday.

This looks kind of cool. I wonder how good (or bad) the view will be...

I think you're onto a winner there! When's the official opening date?

Reps of CET say 1st or 2nd quarter of 2014 (conflicting dates have recently been given).

I'm betting on a soft opening in the 1st quarter.

The wheel part of it is almost done. What's lacking are the loading facilities and passenger processing areas. But, the lag time in getting those finished will give testers plenty of time to get the wheel running right.

Sounds like they were initially targeting around $20 per person, then increased to $25, and now it sounds like it will be around $30. Who knows what it will actually be by the time it opens...

We were originally planning a trip for May/June, but based on the opening date projected date for late Spring and now early Summer, we decided to delay our trip to September.

We will not do the hot months anymore, did that three times already.

Last trip in September was weather perfect!

We would prefer to do this trip in May/June, and we are watching this closely, yet still expecting September.

WHIV - are you basing your trip solely on this ride opening?

I think WHIV was hoping the thing would be up and running in the nicer May/ June weather but doesn't want to take a chance on missing it so the Sept{late is better or Oct}for weather and seeing it works better.

After 2014, not sure when the next visit to Vegas is going to be, because it back to a cruise for us after Vegas. I love Vegas, and GF loves cruises. So we switch and can only afford one big vacation every 8-12 months.

So the High Roller is a must do on the next trip.

Also, after this next Vegas trip, not sure how to afford the air fare, for the discounts run out on the CC we use and can't afford $800+ full rack rate just for the air fare to Vegas

So while crusing again, we will have to research other CC offers. We have SWA now, but getting too expensive to keep these cards after our Vegas 2014 trip.

The Biloxi Air + Hotel package from Tampa is also hard to beat, so who knows when we will get a change to visit Vegas again.

If we the had money, one trip to Vegas and one cruise per year!
