Yeah. It's windy as fuck here in Missouri today
Is that because of tailwinds or something else?
Probably tailwinds at the time I happened to look it up.
Total air time was 4:27 which is about as fast it gets.
JetBlue Mint had a couple of interesting film-themed amenity kit covers on this trip.
This was the one on the way home, it's obviously Dennis Hopper and a movie camera made out of sticks.
The one on the flight to LAS took me a while to figure out. I didn't figure it out until AFTER I got the 2nd one.
I would love for a plane to fly that fast when I'm going toward Vegas....where's that damn Concorde when you still need it lol
Cool. I didn't realize until after I watched one of the Jet Blue films that the "Hopper" on the outside of some of the kits is the company that makes them, and I believe it is the daughter of Dennis Hopper. That would be neat to have.
Bingo. The covers were never anything particularly distinctive before and I hadn't really thought about who made them. And I couldn't place the woman on the bag, there's a tripod in it so I figured it was an actress but I didn't recognize her and I couldn't find the pic online.
Then I realized the company was named Hopper & Hayward. So first I'm thinking Susan Hayward but it doesn't look like her, and it looks like a 60's-era pic. Then I looked up Hopper & Haywood.
It's Brooke Hayward, who was married to Dennis Hopper. And the picture was part of a series taken by Dennis Hopper.
Got a new offer from Cosmo. I played my normal amount there ($25k+ trip / $4,250+ per night) and my offer is about the same as usual.
They shifted some $$$ from dining credit to freeplay.
Usual offer is ~$200 dining credit & ~$225 freeplay, new one is $100 DC / $350 FP. Maybe FP is currently more attractive to people than dining credit.
The booking engine isn't working right so I can't tell what room type I can get, but it's probably the usual - up to One Bedroom Fountain View any night, or a Terrace Suite on cheap nights.
Offer runs through March 10, which is not far enough out for me to book unless something changes.
