    My Trip Report

Hey Everyone. I just got back from Vegas yesterday and it was another trip full of degenerate gambling. Much like my last report, this will focus on my gambling with some food pics. I will be writing this report categorized by day for all 5 days (4 nights). In summary, I chose the title of this trip as shown because I was honestly going insane from the swings from high's and low's with the gambling. Without further adieu, I will start writing this from Day 1. Get ready for the ride! :biker:

    Day 1 - Sat, May 4th

Woke up at 5:00am as my excitement to leave to my most favorite city in the world was overwhelming. My flight didn't leave until 4pm so what am I gonna do? Despite the long wait, I eventually got to the airport and proceeded to learn something new. I went through check in, security and the to US customs (located on the Canada side). I declared carrying cash over $10k and the US customs guy asked whether I declared it on the Canadian side? I told him no and asked "should I have?" There is no prompt at anytime to answer questions or declare when bringing currency OUT of the country. Well guess what? Apparently it is OUR responsibility to seek out a Canadian customs office in the airport to declare it. And more importantly, I need to so this same thing if I happen to leave Vegas with over $10k as well! I bet most of you readers don't know this. More on this later!

I arrive in Vegas at 6:00pm and the D limo is waiting!
    image1.jpeg image2.jpeg

I arrive at the D and my host meets me at the door, checks me in and hands me my keys all in less than 5mins. It was great. Old school Vegas. I liked it. I went down stairs to the Hi-limit baccarat table and started to play. In with this:
    image3.jpeg

    And out with this:

    image4.jpeg

Up $1225. Nice first hit and my friends (3 guys) have finally arrived and we went to get dinner. We went to Andiamos Italian Steakhouse and have an amazing meal
    image6.jpeg

We then went to the Calfornia and proceeded to lose $2000 playing a combo of BJ and Craps. Damn I hate that place now! LOL. I proceeded to return back to the D and this is when things started to turn ugly. I bought in for $5000.

    image5.jpeg

And proceeded to lose it. Then I bought in for $4000 and lost it too. WTF! I honestly was getting out drawn like crazy. $10K bankroll gone! I called on my host to do a withdrawal and it took around 30 minutes or so to get a $20k reload. I went back to the table and bought in for $10k and guess what? I lost it...... holy shit. This is my first night and I already lost $20k cash and I only have 10K left. This is insane. This was about to be my worst Vegas trip ever. I bought in for my last $10k and this amazing dream shoe happened....
    IMG_3056.jpg

I proceeded to win back my $20K I lost earlier and won an additional $1k. It was the most insane comeback I've ever had and I swear I had a nosebleed when I was done.

    image1.jpeg image2.jpeg

It was now close to 5:00am. The pitboss wanted to close the table out as they usually don't have players playing this late on their baccarat table at the D. LOL. I cashed out and went back to my room with a smile. Insanity man! More to report tomorrow!

    Day 2 - Sun, May 5th

Got back to my room, changed and tried to go to sleep. Nada. My brain was firing on all cylinders and could not sleep at all. I tossed and turned for about 2 hours and finally gave up. Took a shower, got dressed and decided to trek around downtown early morning. I have now been up for over 24 hours now. It was now 7:00am and the place is quiet with a few transients lurking around outside and a handful of gamblers sitting at slot machines in various casinos. To all readers out there, in my 30+ trips to Vegas, I have never been in Fremont area during the daytime. It was strange to me to see how quiet it was in the morning but peaceful at the same time. I walked through the Golden Nugget and saw that they actually had a baccarat game open in the high limit with one person playing this early., I decided to join it.

    Up $1125.

I quickly walked out to see if the baccarat game at the D was open yet. It was probably around 9:00am now but no. I am starting to notice that baccarat is not popular downtown as it is on the strip. I then went for another stroll and it looks like the ladies are already getting ready to earn tips.
    image5.jpeg

My buddies who are staying at Park MGM texted me and asked me to meet them there. They wanted to do Dim Sum for lunch at Chang's Hong Kong Cuisine that is not on the strip. I quickly hopped into the D limo and got a ride out there to meet up with them. We went to Chang's and the food was great. I recommend this place if you want authentic Dim Sum for a great price ($50 for 4 people). We then drove back to Park MGM and this is where I decided to play some baccarat here in the hi-limit room. I've never played here before and the room was big, dark and had crazy bright lights shining on each of the tables. But overall it was nice.

    A $1350 win.

The D limo came to get us and took us back to the D hotel. That ride does not get old. It is stocked with liquor and has great music pumping all the way. When we arrived, we needed some more baccarat. I didn't get the "before" pics but I did get the "after" ones for two sessions that evening.

    image6.jpeg image9.jpeg
Up $1100 on the left and up $3635 on the right side.

I haven't been keeping my totals for the trip accounted for as quite honestly it was a bit of a blur since I did buy in here and there at places like Main Street station, El Cortez, and Downtown Grand. There were small wins and losses at those places (under $500) so I didn't keep track.

That night, we had dinner at the Pizza Rock. I took the guys there based on the great recommendations from VMB'ers. Thanks all! That pizza was amazing. We got the New Yorker and it was fantastic.

I have now been up for 43 hours straight and I am finally starting to become a zombie. I didn't know if someone was speaking to me and starting dozing off in weird places. LOL. It was midnight and I said good bye to the buddies as they went back to Park MGM and I went to bed for some much needed rest. Day 3 is next!

    Day 3 - Mon, May 6th

5 hours of sleep! That is a record for me. Usually my 2nd night I can only get about 4 hours. LOL. It's 5am and man I feel so much better despite the fact that I should be getting more sleep technically. I did a pocket dump and realized I was up $8k for the trip so far. Not bad at all! Now the trick is to finish the trip a winner. We all know how hard that is with 2 more days to for the trip.

I shower and head downstairs to see what's happening. The D baccarat table is not open but this was expected. I venture over to the Golden Nugget and the baccarat table there was open but no one was playing. I bought in for $4k anyways and got out with this.
    image10.jpeg

    Up $2160.

I asked for a breakfast comp here and the pitboss took my players card and called it in. Now this pitboss saw me play at the Baccarat table but she still had to verify and go over my play. What happened to the good old days when they just look at you with a smile and say yes without hesitation? Corporate America has quantified everything nowadays. LOL. 10 minutes later, John Sunstrom comes down, gives me his card and hands me a comp for breakfast. For anyone who doesn't know, he was the casino host who was on the "reality" TV show "The Casino. I immediately told him I saw him on TV and he says he gets that a lot. I then asked him about his son Tommy Sunstrom (a dealer turned to casino host on the show) and stupid me didn't know he passed away 3 years ago. I felt so bad for asking him. I immediately googled him and it does not say anywhere how he died. I guess it must've intentionally left out.

Had breakfast, steak and eggs ftw!
    IMG_3068.jpg

I then left the Nugget to walk around Fremont and played a little here and there at various casinos. The Plaza still has that funky smell when you walk into the place. It was now 10am or so and I was itchin for some more baccarat. The D was still had no dealers so I went back to the Nugget. Bad idea...... I lost $5000 before calling it quits. I got some really bad draws where my 7's kept losing to draws that totaled 8 or 9. They say that 7's are "Anna Kournikova's". It looks great but rarely wins. Sigh.

This puts me at around $5000 up for the trip. It was time to check out of the D and head over to my next hotel which was the Cosmopolitan. My host cleared my bill and sent me in the D limo to Cosmo. Great stay there and I would stay there again.

I got to Cosmo and checked in at the VIP services. They do a $300 credit card hold which I thought was a lot. The D only did $100. No big deal. I dropped off my bags and took a run to the baccarat tables in hi-limit.

    In for this

$2k win. I then bought in again shortly after for $5k and was out for this

    image4.jpeg

    Another $2k win!

We then went to Planet Hollywood and played some more baccarat there. I didn't get pics but I was up for another $1500. I have now recovered what I lost at the nugget to put me over $10k in winnings again now. Feels good!

We went for a drive off the strip to have dinner at Lotus of Siam. The place was packed and the wait time was over an hour. We opted for to Vietnamese pho and man that was a great decision. This is what I call comfort food. So good.

The boys then went back to park mgm and this is where I shit the bed again. I played some more at Planet Hollywood and I proceeded to lose $10K. Sigh. I'm technically even for the trip but this roller coaster of a ride was giving me motion sickness lol.

I went to Cosmo and bought in for $20k. I'm betting $1000-$2000 a hand now and after a shoe and a half, I won my $10k back plus another $500. Chip pic of my cashout below
    image5.jpeg

During this time, I ordered a Verbena in the hi-limit room and the waiter got it for me. I tipped him $10 for us as he had to go out of his way to the Chandelier to get it for me. It was now 4am and it was time for bed. What ride so far. Day 4 coming up!

Amazing TR with great Chip Porn. There is nothing like the feeling of relief when you get unstuck after a bad run. I certainly wouldn't be able to sleep after that either.
