    and you're welcome to that.

Now call me funny or odd, but I try to look for the good in things and people, not to try and seek out the negatives. If constantly complaining makes you happy, so be it, that's your right, welcome to America, but at the same time if someone or several people point out the fact that you're Mr Negative/Debbie Downer, don't be upset about it, because that appears to be the truth and what you prefer being.

So what if there's a wall at Cromwell? Have you been there? As surprising as this may be to you, not everyone spends a lot of time in their room, so the don't care about the view. I like NOBU at Caesars Palace, the service is superb, rooms are beautiful and comfortable, but unfortunately, being the original Caesars tower, the facility has grown around it, and there really is no view from Nobu, but it's everything else inside and that comes with it that makes up for it, that's the beauty of a boutique hotel.
So, ever consider that The Cromwell, being a stand alone boutique hotel, has far more to offer than meets the eye? Even with a wall between your room and the room a few dozen yards away at Harrah's?

One last thing, you do realize you do not have to stay at The Cromwell or in one of the North side rooms, right?

I mostly agree with Dave in the fact that I try to look on the bright side and not focus on the rest. I have a couple of casinos or hotels that do not work for me, but I just don't go there. Or I whine when my friends or husband tries to drag me there. But otherwise, I just keep my opinion about them to myself. I recognize that the things I don't like about a place may be easily overlooked by someone else. I've said this a number of times in the "_____ is a dump!" threads.

I have stayed in a number of hotels with odd views. I like when I can see my car, but Whiskey Pete's had a giant pile of dirt outside our window. That's all we could see. :haha: Once I had a room with a view of a wall about 8 feet away. Why even put in a window? Right?

Personally a view is important to be as I spend a lot of time in the room. But other people like to have a room just for the sole purpose of Sleep, Shower, Sh... er.. Poop. :wink2: They don't care if there's a wall or not.

Always love when the old farts feel the need to take a shot at the "kiddies". If someone wants to stay there because they want to be close to the club and want to "boink" who cares? I've seen the strip before, it's not a big deal if I can see it from my room or not. (shrug)

Right--that's another irritation. It's somehow OK for older people to routinely criticize the young on this board. You don't see any young people bashing a place simply because it is full of old people.

I did not notice this before, but since some label me as too negative (must make good on this, I guess,.... forget about reporting the obvious), it looks like CET also screwed some of the Flamingo People in the South Tower, who paid extra for strip view, and get the freaking Wall view from their friend next door. :nono: WOW!

How CET aims to please, and I'm pro CET. I'm honest about it, and where they do good, they do it well (Great in Room Comps). Where they screw up, you fill in the blank. :vomit:

I don't think CET cares. The wall in question was put there to support the pool which is now on the rooftop of the Cromwell. They will make more money in a day there than they will in a year on a few rooms on low floors in the Flamingo.

Cindy loves the Vegas Strip View. I usually gamble more than her. She's done around 1:00AM, and I'll go till 3-4AM. Does she go to bed, nooooo!

She sits in the room, drink in hand, and gets hypnotized by the view. When I come to the room, she shows me amazing things about the strip view, I would have never noticed.

I do love my comped Cosmo terrace and strip view but you can bet I'll give Cromwell a go if it's in my CET offers, wall or not. I constantly read on the board that Cosmo attracts the "*****" crowd. I spend a couple nights at the Cosmo every trip and I have never witnessed that, seriously never. There are lots of younger people but I've not found the crowd to be of the "*****" variety. I've met and had a blast chatting with some fun and very nice young people. I've witnessed more of that at Wynn when the club us letting out. Different nights, different people...you can't broad stroke everyone with the same brush based on some perceived demographic. Anyway, I digress. Back to the regularly scheduled who hates the wall?

Yet, this post is NOT titled, who hates the wall. Please read original post.

It is about choice, if you pay out of pocket (NOT FULL COMP people), and NO ONE pays full rack rate (Think Casino Rate, or discounted rates).

I don't have any thoughts on the Cromwell, but I do enjoy having diversity on this board - both old geezers like myself and the young hipsters. It very interesting hearing topics expressed from different angles.
Love you all and have for many years.

No you don't... that would be my job!

I agree with the first part of your post as well.

I also did a very quick walk through of the casino-area on Saturday. Love the look and feel of the place. The negative reaction on VMB of the recent Vegas additions by many posters has been of interest to me. The Downtown Grande, the High Roller/Linq area and now Cromwell have all met with "little fan fare" from some of the more vocal of our group. I acknowledge that true gamblers won't be happy unless Benny Binion rises from the ashes and offers a "square deal" on games, which ain't gonna happen and I assume the SLS will meet a similar reaction from many of these same posters as well. I, however, appreciate the investment into these properties and the transformation they've made. Walking through the Linq area on Saturday was very enjoyable minus the rainy/cloudy weather.

It does get a tad annoying, however I have always chalked it up to a bit of jealousy. I have seen some people on this board call the crowd at the Bellagio "pretentious", or "snobbish" with nothing said. Can you imagine the backlash if I called the crowd at Harrah's "trashy"??????

As for the OP's trolling question, Crumwell, really? Grow up....You would find me in a wall facing room at the Cromwell well before a fountain facing room in a Bills crap shack room.

Nope, Bills is dead, move on.

It is about the Cosmo crap shack room + View, verses, the Cromwell crab shack room + View.

What is your choice of these two?

For the same Price Point? That is the original post started.

Bills did NOT have guest rooms with a wall view of its own property. A room facing Flamingo would've been subjected to daylight, Flamingo's lights, and life as the bathroom windows cracked open.

These Cromwell rooms that are not facing the strip appear to be trapped within the properties own structure.
