I've booked my room for May 1-4, any idea if the construction will be anywhere near done, and does anybody know the date they expect to open the pool at this location?

I just booked there for NASCAR weekend in March, the VIP Host said he thought construction would be done by then. Though he said pool wouldn't be open then.

Headed there in April and was really hoping the pool would be completed by then. Bummer.

They are working on the rooms. This means they close off a couple floors at a time and most guests don't see the mess.

My understanding is that construction is done. They are renovating now.
Can't tell you anything about the pool.

I was there opening week and the only construction I noticed was them working on what I think was the spa by the cashier cage. Also, the day I left they tore out the Guy Frieri's patio and seemed to be re-doing it. Weird since I had ate on that same patio just the day before. Other than that, there wasn't any construction to speak of. Can't wait to head back in March!

    Linq Construction and Pool

Does anyone have any idea when the construction or pool will be done at the Linq? Staying the 4-19 to 4-24.

Two weeks ago locating the valet was difficult and a bit nerve racking. (I'm normally Mr. Cool)

Didn't have a room there but casino seemed fine.

I asked on TripAdvisor today. They said construction hoped to be completed by spring. Someone else mentioned that as well for the pool. I'm going in June.

stayed there the week the name changed. there was work being done on the pool area and some on the casino floor. I can not wait to see how the pool looks when done. it was hard to tell what they were doing in that area. I had no problems with the work being done. never heard a thing.

I assume no resort fees are charged as long as the pool is closed and stuff..?

The charges show up on your bill, but you're bill also isn't final until you check out. I'll be there in a week and let you know what is said to me about resort fees. I've had my comp'd the last two trips and will be playing the same as I always do, but I'm going with a few people in other rooms that don't play that much, so I'll see what happens with them. I know when I Was there opening week, resort fees were still in place despite the pool / spa not being open. But I've heard others since have had theirs waived. But I asked the Linq via twitter and they told me resort fees are mandatory and still in place. We will see.

In light of all the remodeling, what is the best bet to ask for at check-in? Anything specific, or just a remodeled room? Friends are staying there in mid-May, and I'd like to be able to offer them a suggestion or two.

Just got back from the Linq a few days ago. Second time staying here. LOVE the rooms, LOVE the casino and LOVE the vibe.

with that said, construction was loud and started at 6:30 am all four mornings (friday-monday). My window faced the pool, but for the most part it was fairly quiet down there. I was on 9th floor, pool was on 4th. The occasional soft hammering or shouting could be heard, but nothing to complain about. The loud noise came from the removing of the triangle temple things on the roof. The drilling was loud and unbearable. On my first morning, I called guest services and they said they could hear the drilling through the phone and that I should come down to the front desk and ask to be moved rooms. I did and they moved me to another room on the 5th floor. This was RIGHT above the pool (so the soft hammering and yelling sounded much louder) and the same drilling noise could be heard. I went back to the front desk and a manager came out, basically admitted that no matter where they moved me, I would be hearing noise. My group had three rooms booked, so he said he would offer compensation to us. He comp'd my resort fees (which always get comp'd through host anyways), one of my friends' resort fees (who probably would have had to pay for them) and since my other friend had his resort fees comp'd up front, they comp'd his most expensive night ($120 / Saturday). So basically they took $112 to $120 off each room ($344 total) to apologize for the noise.

Didn't ruin my trip, but I definitely lost a few hours of sleep because of it. Still love the Linq and will still stay there next time (july). I'd imagine the roof drilling will be done by then
