Just got back from a stays at the Golden Nugget Laughlin, Tropicana Las Vegas, The Cannery North Las Vegas and The Orleans.

First of all I just wanted to state that Boyd Gaming B-Connected has corrected itself on the comps for us. All is well and the free rooms, food and free play are alive and well again based on our stay at the Orleans and our play at the wednesday "YOUNG AT HEART"(for old people like us) with full benefits extended to us Gold Coast ! The player club told us that Boyd gaming had to go back to giving us "out of towners" the same benefits.

The weird part of our trip was with The Cannery. We for some reason had received an comp offer from them for a room for two nights on friday and saturday night and we decided to try them out. When we went to check in we showed them mailer we had and the reservation number we had gotten from them and they told us they could not check us in until we went to the kiosk with our player card and get additional printout of the offer they had mailed us and that we had in hand showing them at the desk. They claim that all Boyd Gaming owned properties require that. I challenged them on that because we are long time Boyd gaming fans and never had to go get in line at a kiosk to get more proof of an offer for the comp room. So here we are with a valid printed large mailed card with the offer and the reservation number from them and they refused to help until we did the kiosk.

Has anyone else experienced this requirement of having to go to a kiosk for a second or for us actually a third form of confirmation of reservation with them or with any other Boyd Gaming property?

Oh BTW their player card computer system still is not with Gaming gaming yet and they were "guessing" at the players club after September or October maybe they will be line up with the Boyd players cards??

    That is so weird.

We have never had to show a mailer let alone go to a kiosk. It's all usually on the reservation when we give them the offer code when calling in or booking online.

The hoops you have to jump through for a free room. Weird!

Hope the rest of your trip is fun.... and profitable!!

    Bovine doodoo!

Never at Sams Town, ever! (Ditto with the old Stardust, but they did have their own brand of scavenger-hunt type hoop jumps.)

The kiosk swipe is a standard requirement at Cannery. My current (discounted) room offer specifies: "When you are ready to check in, print your Hotel Voucher at any Kiosk and Present to Front Desk."

That's not how Boyd does it, but they're not on the Boyd system yet.

There were several things that we experienced that would normally have us not stay there again. Instead of listing them all here I would have to say they do not compare with any Boyd Casino we have stayed in. When Boyd gets full control we will look forward to going back again.

Boulder highway Cannery also had you print the voucher out prior to check in. Maybe they trust the computer to make sure you don't do
it twice a month. I did notice my offers at Boulder highway cannery have got to be less now. My Play is the same or higher than before. I expect
Boyds to tighten comps up some. Hope they keep Aliante the same, as they had got their act together the last few years.
