    My Trip Report

well, i have been home three days and doing my penance for having such a great trip, but need to get this trip report off the ground, so i will divide it into some parts, and do some of the restaurant parts in their own posts in their forum.

got up at 4 am for the trip to the airport, actually had more sleep the night before than usual, you guys know the feeling. flight into salt lake, had a three hour layover, but had breakfast at the dick clark american bandstand restaurant, near the entry to concourse C. great service, quick, not too bad airport food, but fantastic coffee! and when they found out that you were not rushing for a flight, they keep pouring, was pleasantly surprised.

flight on into las vegas, took a peek at the cab line, found out later it was 35 minutes! went out the other door to the shuttles bought our ticket, they pointed us to a shuttle when we asked for the hilton, walked over, six others in line, driver had room for 2, they were both parties of 3! first win, on the street in 2 minutes. did get a tour of the back lots of circus circus, stardust and the riv before we were dropped off, but still good.

quick checkin, though the room was not ready at noon, so check the bags, and out the side door to the trade show at the convention center, shopped it for a couple of hours, then our "seminar"

the wide world of shiraz, got to taste, over a two hour session, 7 different wines, a really good chilean, good one from washington, mediocre greg norman. actually after about 3, they all started getting better, the whole crowd was a little more talkative and not afraid to offer opinions. the guy from south nevada distributors was very knowledgeable, and made some new friends!

back to the hilton, got to our room, nice with one king bed, bathroom showing some signs of wear, but perfectly adequate, great mattress and pillows. for fifty one night and free the second night, i wasnt complaining!

down to the paradise cafe, had a little supper, played the vp machines, could not hit much, missed tipoff of the nba games so no bets down.

time for bed, especially after the early start. found this documentary on tv, some actress named jenna. for someone i had not heard off, this young lady was very talented and had had many roles. i just love educational tv! so ends day 1, but there is much more coming that i can tell you about!
