This seemed like a really wonderful anniversary trip!
If it helps, I didn't see the condition of the slot area at Cosmo like that when I was last there last month, so it must have been all the events that had just happened!

    Safe travels back!

Happy 15 and many many more! Loving your report (and your others too). You do know how to do Vegas for sure. You and Hubs dinner at Delmonico refreshed me to one of my fav LV dinners. Had the same steak and was one of THE best ever had. Thanks for taking the time to share.

@ardee I noticed this same thing one night about a year or so ago. I was really surprised. I have been back many times since and it's been the usual neat & clean Cosmo! Maybe they have an occasional staffing issue with the cleaning folks? I hope they pay them well. The deserve it, having to clean up after our ilk! o_O

Ardee ~ it sounds like you guys had a fabulous trip and ton of fun for your Anniversary! After all that's what it's all about, winning some $$ is just icing on the cake if it happens. I will say, that whole dirty slot floor thing you encountered at Cosmo is the #1 reason we stay at Wynncore:love:

Sorry for the delay in wrapping up the report. Husband is a government teacher and speech/forensics team coach so his fall schedule is full and he's back to work with his students today.

    My recap:

We had a lot of fun together. :) And toasted to ourselves:

    toastpartnershit.jpg ;) toastfredwilmadancinggif.gif

    Food:

Grand Lux is a solid place to get a decent and moderately priced meal in Vegas. We drove in, checked-in and then ate-in at the Palazzo location.
Tasty margaritas and decent food. Just what we needed until we had a nice dinner later that night.

    Delmonico for celebrating our anniversary.
Food was excellent, service exemplary and a nice corner table setting together made it a memorable 15th.

Bouchon breakfast. Excellent service and fantastic baked goods.

Our advice to anybody trying out Delmonico or Bouchon is to go with the strengths of the chef who developed the restaurant.
Emeril (Delmonico) is great at Cajun-inspired dishes.
If you crave a good gumbo, go for it. He's got it on the menu.
New Orleans barbecued shrimp appetizer is divine.
The dry-aged steaks are something to be savored.
Take a look at the menu before visiting and go for something you might not ever try somewhere else but is a specialty to that restaurant.
I doubt you'll be disappointed. Just my recommendation.
Same thing with Bouchon. Look for the French inspired dishes and baked goods.
We can all get a good egg, meat and toast breakfast somewhere in Vegas.
Theirs is a step above. Look for the Croque Madame, delicious croissants, tartines, their house-made beignets, served warm and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar, the vanilla yogurt bowl with berries and freshly made granola, cheese danish.
Excellent bloody marys and blood orange mimosas. A step above.
Take a gander at the dinner menu too. Escargot and Steak frites a specialty. If you're adventurous in your eating choices, I don't think it will disappoint.

    Slots:
When we checked in and hit the Palazzo casino, I noticed my favorite Elvis slots were down. Some of the James Bond ones too. :(
Service techs were working on them throughout our stay and when we checked out early yesterday morning, all of them were back up and running.
Venetian was fun and we had a lot of decent hits and spent a long time playing and having fun.
Thankfully, the classic Star Trek slots continue to hang on there. One of my favorites.
Dirty Devil still gave us some nice hits.

When we checked out Cosmo on Monday morning it was fairly busy.
The new MOooolah was occupied for quite a while and the Elvis slots I love were very busy too.
I went over to the one Little Green Men Machine I enjoy playing and had a good time.
Husband found a spot at Moolah but was giving luck to those on either side of him whilst not getting much out of the game.
I came over and joined him when a seat opened up and proceeded to give me luck too.
He lost his buy-in there but I held my own.

New slots we noticed at Cosmo:

    Farmville and American Gods.

Didn't play Farmville but sat down next to husband to play American Gods and had a good session.
Got some Cosmo cocktails out of it while playing for over an hour on $200 buy in.
Lots of free spins and mystery features that kept us entertained.

I think I have some pics on my phone and I'll post when I find them.

All in all a wonderful anniversary celebration. Thanks to everyone who took the time to read and we do hope you enjoy your next trip in Vegas.

A toast to you all and see you round the board, friends.

I agree with all your sentiments on the food! Always a good idea to follow the chef's specialization. I'll need to try Delmonico one of these days!

And hold up hold up. Did you say "American Gods" like, they finally made a slot based off one of my favorite books (I haven't watched the show yet)?!?!?!? This is so exciting! Do you have any pics from that session? See any fun bonuses? :woohoo:

So glad you two had an amazing anniversary and thank you for sharing your trip with us!!! :wiggle:

Thank you, @Astribling. I meant to answer when you asked about Delmonico and your last visit there.
Yes, the service is still great and the food is over the top wonderful.
I see you have a trip coming up soon and hope it's one for the books!

Another great report you two! M tried Farmville at Cosmo since she used to play the Facebook game. Her return was virtually nil.

I am sorry my trip became a bit of a cluster over the time you were there. I only bumped into maybe half of the people I really wanted to for the trip. By the time we got near V/P on Monday night (1130p), you two probably called it already. :( Monday night was the only night we played at CET too, which seems shocking and honestly wrong to me. I personally didn't get to bed until 6 that night...M was not happy in the morning. But I went to bed with her 3 of 6 nights, that's actually pretty good for me!
