    My Trip Report

    Sunday November 24
We had a 125 flight out of Ontario. Got stuck in major traffic on the way to the airport. Made it to the airport by 10, checked our bags and up through security for a beer and to people watch. We managed 6 pieces of luggage for the 5 of us.

Boarded our flight and when we landed in vegas I was trying to surprise the kids with a limo driver waiting for us.
Well he wasn't there and we grabbed our luggage and went exploring while my kids were wondering what the heck was going on. I was texting with the driver and we finally went down to level zero and my kids were mad that I was "lost". When they saw the driver they were super happy.
He stopped at a liquor store where we got our champagne and I grabbed some water, soda and the kids got cider. He drove us to the vegas sign, and then took pictures for us there and then dropped us off at the MGM.

We checked in to the 2 bedroom marquee suite and left the kids to play on their ipads and we went down to play and met my mom and siblings downstairs because they had gotten in at 9am, and the night before, respectfully.
We gambled til about 8 when everyone split up and I grabbed Nathan's hotdogs, fries and wings for the 5 of us , 100 dollars later. Then I walked past the back door of the platinum lounge and my key let me in, super excited for that.
Noticed that our bathtub didn't have water pressure and called maintenance, which never showed up.

    Monday
Met up with family after we played awhile. Went to America for breakfast , which took FOREVER!! We then had the kids go up to the NYNY room and we played around NYNY all day. Grabbed some donuts at America and then headed back to MGM to order pizza for the MNF game, which my Chargers lost.
Called for maintenance again and they came up about 9 , decided they needed a part and left. We gave up waiting about 11 and headed to bed. He slipped a voucher under our door for the inconvenience and the front desk added 100 as well.

    Tuesday
Went to the MGM buffet , which was lacking. Paid for all 8 of us and we grabbed the monorail down to harrahs where we gambled a bit and then walked back through the linq and took the kids to the cookie shop, candy store and the VR shop. They had a blast and we walked back through the Flamingo and got the monorail to Horseshoe to see the walk way to the Paris tower connection.
We then walked out to the strip, walked to Bellagio and took the tram to Park and walked over to Mandalay Bay for dinner at Hussongs. I had a few too many margaritas and that didn't end well.
Made it back to MGM via Luxor and Excalibur. Finally get back up to the room and lay down, when my teen comes in and says he doesn't feel well. I tell him what I tell all my kids when their stomachs hurt " try and go to the bathroom."
He texts me from the bathroom that he still isn't feeling well. ( TMI but he had a history of being so constipated that he puked for days as a result of having no more room) i asked if he's constipated he says no.
Next thing I know my husband comes in to tell me that he's puking his brains out.
I go to sleep and let my husband deal with it .

    Wednesday
We get up and head down to play while the kids play on their electronics.
Up and down on the gambling and we decided to all go grab breakfast about 10. Head down to Wolfgang puck.
We order and all of a sudden they are out of pancakes and French toast , so we all have to change our orders.
We all decide to go back to the bellagio, when the kids say they don't want to go, they are too tired to walk all over again today. But my daughter is upset by this so I told her I would take her shopping later.
Hubby gets them in the room, and him and I gamble while the rest of the family goes off on their own.
Finally made gold again, so there is that.
Get our 100 dollar credit and ask the Gold lounge about a ride to the airport.
Family is back so we meet them at NYNY for hotdogs because my mom had an early 6am flight.

After dinner I take my daughter out to shop which took about 2 hours.
Get back about 9, and start to pack.

    Thursday
It's just the 5 of us this morning as my mom's gone and my siblings are in their own
We go back down to Wolfgang to get breakfast before heading to the airport.
I go settle the bill at the lounge and get a phone call from my kids that now my husband's throwing up..ugh not what I needed before flying home.
He thinks it was eating the spicy peppers and chugging milk.
We head out to get our ride to the airport , surprising the kids again.
Got to the airport and checked our luggage and head through security where the people in front of us had all 6 of their bags taken away for another search.
Finally get to the gate and its been changed..meet up with my siblings and we wait for the slightly delayed flight.
Get home and meet my dad at the airport where he gives us pumpkin pies and takes my siblings home.

We drive home and my husband all of a sudden decides he wants Thanksgiving dinner. So we rush into the nearest store to grab the microwave precooked turkey breast's and all the sides.
Kids and hubby unpacked and I cooked.

It was a great trip and I can't wait to be back in spring.

On Sunday, the cost of the hot dogs to feed the kids was too high, even though you gambled enough to make MGM Gold? Then on Monday, the kids were sent up to the room while the adults gambled “all day”? Were they with an adult?

The cost wasnt more than I expected for food court hot dogs, just used to stuff being comped is all.
We were like 20k away from gold, and hit it from one bonus and room spend, so it wasn't a lot of effort.
Yes, the kids had an adult with them, we switched off with them, but it was uncle there 97% of the time. Also, we have a teen so if there hadn't been an adult, we would have felt ok with just the teen watching the kids while they played on ipads.

If they had an adult with them 97% of the time, then I misunderstood what you meant. My apologies. Just a sensitive topic for me, as I had a parent who would leave me places (e.g., drop off for a 30 minute swim lesson, then return 2.5 hours later and tipsy...)

Definitely not us. We're also in constant communication with the teen whenever we're gone. But I'm sorry to hear that you were ditched like that.
