This will be our first Thanksgiving in Vegas. We normally come in for Grazie Gifts but leave before the holiday, this year we decided to stay to bet on the football games and honestly, not having to attend multiple functions that day with various branches of the family was another deciding factor.

I've gleaned from past posts that Thanksgiving itself is a bit of a busy day dining-wise, because even a lot of locals come to the strip for Thanksgiving. My question is, anyone have any recommendations? We won't want a buffet that day, and it will be the end of a week-long trip, so nothing fancy - at the same time, something good and maybe a bit different. We're staying at Palazzo, but leave property frequently, so anything around center-north strip is fair game.

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Most of the restaurants will have a custom T-Day menu. Some will only serve from that menu, some will offer the normal stuff. We did Olives one year and had some traditional T-day food. Check around when you are in town.

Not Strip, but we have had the 777 at MSS, Thanksgiving dinner for I think the last 5 years. Traditional and relaxed and no buffet. Turkey, dressing, gravy, potatoes etc.
Regular menu also available.

We were at Mirage last year on Thanksgiving and ate at the Pantry. They had a special "family style" brunch/dinner and it was actually pretty good. Will be there again this year and am betting my family will want to return there again. Btw, the buffet at Mirage was so crowded I can't imagine waiting in the line on Thanksgiving.

I'll be there over Thanksgiving and I made reservations at Mon Ami Gabi. They'll be serving a Thanksgiving themed dinner.

The steakhouse at South Point has already posted their TG and NYE menus outside the restaurant.

I had Thanksgiving dinner solo at Lakeside at the Wynn last year. It was a reasonably priced fixed price dinner and it was fabulous. The weather was perfect and it was actually wonderful to think about how blessed I was as I enjoyed that wonderful meal while watching the show on the lake. I enjoyed it so much I decided to have my birthday dinner there this past August.

I'm sure SW on the other side of the lake has a special Thanksgiving menu as well.

We had our first thanksgiving in vegas last year and tried the Sonoma Cellar at Sunset station, everything was superb. Will be in Vegas for Thamksgiving again this year and will be trying out the steakhouse at Red Rock as that's where we are staying this time. Also a double celebration as it is my wife's birthday as well.

Enjoy your trip

I went several years ago for Thanksgiving and we went to Binion's steakhouse. I'd definitely recommend it. They had traditional Thanksgiving food and regular menu options with an amazing view.
