Last May they were doing a lot of work in the baggage claim area and if I remember correctly, we had to walk outside and re-enter the building.

Anyone know if it's back to normal yet.

    Thanks

All done, but in the process the slowed they baggage down. It could have been a one time thing, but on Friday we waited 28 minutes for our SW bags.

Thanks Joe! Another question, if you arrive at the "C" gates, is it always better to take the tram to baggage claim.

We always take a couple of older women with us and I am trying to make it as easy as possible for them.:D

Usually the tram is better but it depends at which gate you land. If you are all the way at the end and want to avoid a walk for the older women then the tram is the easy choice. If you are landing in gates 23-25 then it is shorter and faster just to walk to baggage claim.

I can't help you there. After sitting on the plane for four plus hours, we like to walk. They do have two long motorized walkways, but if aren't in service, then it is a "long" walk.

Also, if you just walk from the high numbered C gates (23-25) to baggage claim, there's an escalator and a couple of moving walk-ways that make it a very easy walk.

That sucks. We were always amazed at how fast baggage came out for our SW flights. Usually no more than 5 minutes after we got the BC.
