Appropriated from my TR

Tender Steakhouse at Luxor is, as most casino steakhouses are, a very nice steakhouse. I had eaten there 15 years ago with my ex-wife before seeing Blue Man Group. I had a comp for $75 off of $150.

So, we ordered:

one dozen bluepoint oysters

The Chef's special was meat "jam", served with crackers.

14 oz. Bison ribeye

OK, so Bison is just like beef, but with a slight "gamey" flavor. If I had to choose, and both were the same price, the first time I would eat it just to say that I had (which I have now, but going forward I would pick grass fed beef)
Lamb Shank

Beef Bone Marrow

The meal was excellent and came to $160 before the discount. The $75 discount was already on my mLife card, and the rest was charged to the room.

Nice! Glad you made the most of that dining credit.

Last year I did the same at Tender, making use of the MyVegas reward and tried the A5 Wagyu ribeye. Very unique cut of beef.

Unique as in good?

I used that MV reward twice. Both were early evening and I was solo at the bar almost no one else in the place. I think the place is underrated. It never really gets talked about in "best of" articles. Maybe because it's Luxor, maybe because of the slightly strange location at the entry to the MB Shoppes. The second meal I had there was amazing, one of the best steaks I've eaten. The cheese plate appetizer is a do, just let the server select the cheeses.

Yes, the beef is very tender and almost milky. Quite unlike any steak I've ever had and I'd definitely try it again, although next time I'd probably try the Wagyu filet. The cuts are very small and the ribeye is very thin.

I went to Tender on my last trip in September and it was excellent.
Going back in June and will revisit. Well worth the trip.

Nice pics! We've enjoyed tender both of the times we went. Easily one of the best rewards myVegas still offers.

  • We Both Need This Vacation. MGM too oversold again to start.
  • A Rare Friday Night Stay at MGM!
I too enjoyed my experience at Tender last year. I had the 14oz NY Strip, and it was very tasty. I partially paid with the $20 off coupon they had provided at check-in. All in all it was a great value.

I tried Tender for the first time last month. I had the $75 off MyVegas reward. It was one of the most tender and juiciest steaks my girl and I have ever tasted. I would recommend Tender to everybody. We will definitely go again.

I think I will give it a go, have over 900,000 credits on the game should use them somewhere

I bought the Tender reward last year, but refunded it, as I never ended up spending any time on the strip.

Reading this thread, I'll be getting it again, and using it this time!

Thanks for the reviews, everyone.

Looks like A5 Wagyu isn't on the online menu, has anyone seen it recently on the menu? Staying at the Luxor over XMas (not my choice but part of a group) and I've been mulling over how to cash in on my 85K myvegas points

Does Tender have a bar? I'm there solo for a night for MM and wouldn't mind checking it out to use the resort credit.

What dishes do you all recommend ordering or not ordering? Just got this reward for the first time through MyVEGAS

I enjoyed the bison ribeye and the bone marrow.

The bison just to say I tried it. If it were a tossup between bison and beef, all things being equal, having had the bison, I'd choose the beef.

The bone marrow was, IMHO, just as tasty at when I had it at Gordon Ramsay Steak.

The oysters were great, you get to choose from a menu (in multiples of 6)

There were no dishes that I would not recommend.

Looks like Tender is no longer offered on myvegas rewards; even on the computer where you can sort rewards by category (dining) where it appears to show all offers even if "sold out" Tender no longer appears.

Hopefully it's only temporary as it has been one of the best rewards for a while. It is almost the new year. But it might come back with higher price/more restrictions. Definitely glad we used one in September now.

I had the A5 Wagyu filet at Tender last week, so it's on the menu,
But I was a bit disappointed. The steak was good, but nothing special; certainly not worth $110.
I've had the wagyu at Craft steak at MGM, which was both less exepensive and much better. (Although I've ordered the same thing on several visits and some times it's amazing, some times nothing special.)

We are eating at Tender this upcoming trip. I also got the $75 off $150 Myvegas. We usually go to The Camelot steakhouse in the Excalibur, we've used a MyVegas from there 3x and I have another for this coming trip I purchased prior to seeing Tender pop up available. I will likely return the Camelot steakhouse now and give Tender a try. If we had a longer trip I'd keep both because the lobster at Camelot steakhouse is very good.
