This is a great casino and I don’t care what you say. Everyone is Hawaiian and sweet. It’s great. There’s a cozy little sports “lounge” and everything.

Look! The cage doesn’t even have bars or glass or anything! How friendly is that?! They trust you not to rob the place!

A little hungry, so I ate here upon the recommendation of basically everyone. It lives up to the hype. The meatballs are great and the pizza is also very good. For happy hour you can’t beat it.

Here’s a secret that pizza snobs won’t tell you: everyone gets hung up on the crust, but the real make-or-break is the sauce. If you get that wrong, you’re done. This place has gravy like my mama. (Don’t tell her I said that, please). Highly recommend.

SouthPoint definitely my favorite race book in Vegas. I usually stay mid strip so it’s twice as much to Uber there as my second fave at Wynn, but well worth it. I love the whole casino.

Great report so far. You’ve made me want to expand my horizons for my next trip, which not many TR’s can do.

I enjoyed visiting all the places in Henderson you did as well. Sadly the joker's wild craps table was closed the day we went. Pit boss said they were short on dealers. I called the other day in preparation for our upcoming trip and they said it was open Monday - Thursday for $1 and Friday Saturday Sunday it was $2. Only a half table open on Mondays 9am-1am.

loved the Boulder Hwy run, planning on doing the same during my January trip. The Boulder and N. Vegas casinos are the only few chips i need to complete my collection. Enjoying the TR immensely!

Yeah that's a hell of an honor. He's right though, bordering on classic TR territory here. Drink a few more and get this thing going!

Awesome report. I dragged hubby to the Stage Door and he thought I was nuts - until he saw the jaeger shot prices! I feel the same about the DTG - there’s just no personality or vibe there - it’s like some weird abyss of nothing-ness?

Marvelous report and highly entertaining to read about all the craps conditions, odds and general vibes during all your stops.

Thanks for all your efforts and bringing us along!

Look, almost all of you have been downtown, so I will be brief with my commentary.

Craps dealers at Fremont were good. This is a good casino.

I also have no beef with the Plaza.

I took the following picture to show everyone that the Sigma Derby is still at the D. But you should know that the Sigma Derby is a boring, overrated game. Bet on real horses instead.

    E9098557-8BBB-453B-8D6D-337F13FF04DD.jpeg

Everything you’ve heard about the craps dealers at Binions is, sadly, true. They are terrible.

The craps dealers at Golden Gate are as good as you’ve heard. Go there.

    A979D635-41BA-405C-8ED0-2229E417A545.jpeg

Also, I had a very negative time at 4 Queens. The pit boss was being an asshole to the dealers, which made things very unpleasant. Also, I won a lot of money next to a bunch of Hawaiians at Golden Nugget.

I love Main Street Station. It’s my favorite downtown. So I played at the pig bar and watched all of my sports bets loose. Fuck me. Luckily, my craps winnings kept the day mas o menos even.

I think its already been said once or twenty times, but great report! Really enjoying the whole thing. Tons of discipline sticking to your checklist of places you've always wanted to visit. Congratulations on the impending birth of your first child. There really is nothing better imo. Mine is a third of his way to legal gambling age, and it seems like it's gone by in a blink.

Oh, and I'm not sure how tough your overseas deployment will be, but if you time it right, you might get more sleep overseas. :)

Things from last night get very hazy around the time I took the following photo, which is a cup full of ice and well vodka (from the gun, natch).

I do remember eating this filet and broccolini from Center Cut. And let me tell you, it was great. I may have been drunk, but I know it was significantly better than that garbage I ate at Mandalay Bay.

I think that someone on VMB has a brocollini fetish, so here’s some food porn for you:

I think once in my life I'm going to buy a steak at Center Cut and eat it while playing VP. My gf won't get it, but seems like something I should do.

I woke up feeling pretty lousy, Vegas starting to catch up with my body. Still, I pulled myself together enough to pack up and check out of the Flamingo and take a Lyft to Luxor for my final four nights.

The check in line was a nightmare, as usual, but I got to skip it with my Gold status (basically the only thing useful about MLife gold, imho). I asked for something on a higher floor and got a room in the 9th floor in the east tower. Last time i was here I stayed in the west tower, and I actually like this room better. It’s a little smaller, but seems fresher and nicer. You still have to walk a mile to get to your room, but I’ll live.

Only complaint so far about the room are these gross hairs on the towels in the bathroom. They are not mine.
