Tell me about the Springs Preserve

Worth checking out?
Is it an all day thing or a good way to kill a few hours?

We definitely thought is was worth a trip - not far from downtown. Relaxing way to spend a couple hours, the butterfly house is really cool. A couple small museums with interesting historical info, some non-strenuous hiking trails.

I'd say it's more of a half day thing, but if you did every inch of the museums in detail it might be longer. Very cool to see where the actual spring that fed the meadow that gave Vegas its name was.

I loved it! Spent a few hours there and could have spent longer as I love gardens, hence my VMB "name", i.e. "Flowers."

Yes, on Valley View just east of the mall.

This is one thing that's been on my do-it list for years, but it just never seems to happen.
