Decided to splurge and get three nights at Cosmo with a balcony overlooking the fountains. I think I'll spend the evenings on the balcony, watching and listening to the show and smoking cigars! I have never even set foot in Cosmo before. Any recommendations on restaurants et al?

China Poblano is great for lunch, or dinner.

    Henry good for breakfast.

Holsteins does a mean burger, and a good shake.

Block 16 is like an upper scale food court, and has some great quick options.

é at Jaleo is pricy, but an amazing dining experience.

I think the best value on the strip is the 4 course Santorini menu at Milo's for 49.00.

Drink service on the casino floor is really good. I've had to turn down drinks because the service was so good.

My two favorites are Secret Pizza and Hattie B's Hot Chicken in the Block 16, though get a beer on the casino floor because they charge $$$ for drinks at both places. The food is reasonable, but they make their money on beverages.

The Wicked Spoon buffet is a great value for lunch at $28, but dinner is pretty much the same food for an additional $20. At lunch it's great with good service and a wide range of food, including crab legs, along with a diverse range of meats and some delicious desserts. If you're vegan, it's not for you, but if you are carnivore, it's a treat.

Haven't hit a lot of the sit down restaurants, but Holstein's is a top notch burger place.

Only downside, but second hand, is that friends had a poor service experience at Beauty and Essex when they ordered small plates over a longer time, i.e. they lingered over conversation and ordered things occasionally.

You can get drinks on the floor that most other casinos don't have...ie mojitos. If you play VP at a bar, the machines spit out drink vouchers - these can be combined towards a premium cocktail (at least this was the case the last time I was there...hopefully it hasn't changed).

All the food options are great. Except that one time when my buddy got horrible food poisoning at Milo's. It was our first meal of the trip and pretty much took him out of commission for the whole trip.

They serve Grey Goose upon request on the standard floor, not just high limit.

Raspberry lemon drop is their trademark drink. I don't usually like sweet drinks, love this one.

Food: Mine at mid-tier options, I'll let others speak to high end.

    1) The Henry has some great mid-priced fare. Short ribs eggs benedict are amazing. I also bring a Cobb salad to room every trip...just ask for blue cheese dressing (if you like) or they swap in a vinaigrette.

    2) If you like buffets, it's not heavily advertised but comso will give you one free buffet (Wicked Spoon) when you hit your first 500 tier credits, a second when you hit 1000. (*redeemable once.) Just go to the identity desk and ask for the voucher and tell them why. (and it's good for ANY meal, including weekend dinners.)

Also, most rooms have a fridge you can use. Wicked spoon offers a $20 take out box. You could load it with charcuterie items, great for an in-room snack, and much better meats and cheeses than you'd find at a convenience store.

    3) Secret Pizza, by China Poblano (correction, by Jaleo per @NotSinatrasHand ) I believe. Not named. Look for a hallway with framed photos on the wall. Fun late night snack, and iconic.

    4) Hidden Convenience store: Ask for elevators to Jockey Club. The elevator is right on the slot floor. Just ask. Jockey club has a tiny convenience store, grwat for mixers or sodas if you don't want to pay $9 for a diet coke from the mini bar, but don't want the. Walk to CVS. They also have beer and other things.

5)If you like burgers, I love holsteins. Unfortunately fries are now ALa carte, but at 1/2 for the burger? You don't really need them. The Fun Ghi is my favorite, cooked medium..

    Have a BLAST!!!!

The terrace is a great place to nod off for a few ZZZs. There is a nice blanket on the top shelf of the closet and you can call housekeeping to get more. I always use one as a makeshift bedsheet for the couch on the terrace (lord only knows what's happened on those things) and get another to keep me warm. If the wind isn't howling too bad you'll be able to stay out there for a good while. I've had a lot of good naps on the terrace and actually slept out there overnight on two occasions.

You're gonna love the view and Cosmo is one helluva great property. BTW, if you like donuts you'll be in good shape; they have a great selection at District Donuts on the second floor. They're huge!!!

Momofuku ! ! We sat up at the kitchen counter late afternoon and watched the chefs work away. They gave us a few tasters of things for free. Was such a great experience.

@Multifarious5, you are my go-to for Cosmo info! I thought that buffet deal was only for 1st time players. So good to know! Also love the take out box option. Thank you!

@hotreds, I think you will love your terrace room there. It really is special!

Yes! All of these are great suggestions! Secret Pizza is between Jaleo and Blue Ribbon on the 3rd floor. Holstein's is a solid Burger Restaurant. Block 16 has a great selection. Hattie B's and Pok Pok Wings are great for cheaper eats. And the speakeasy connected at Block 16 is Ghost Donkey. Momofuku is amazing, Estiatorio Milos is great for lunch especially the outdoor patio seating. Zuma's bar is great, haven't tried dinner there yet. Eggslut for Breakfast sandwich is my go to. I like Scarpetta especially if you get a table by the windows facing the Bellagio fountains.

On another note, I think in general, if you are watching the fountain shows from your balcony, I don't think you can actually hear the music. Just a tip if you're expecting a full show like watching by the fountains.

@Parkermama102 ack, sorry for misspeaking...if you've been there before and didn't redeem it, you should be able to, but it is redeemable only once. (for 500 then 1000). But I am glad you like the takeout idea :)

I updated my original post so I don't misguide!

I've hear the Wicked Spoon buffet is one of the best in Vegas. I don't recall having been, but colleagues of mine swear by it every time we send them to Vegas for a conference. :ssst:

Cosmo has a Milk Bar! I am obsessed with their cereal milk ice cream and shakes, and sadly my city does not have one, so I have to get my fix whenever I am in NYC or Vegas, LOL. Sweet tooth satisfaction also achieved with their cookies, cakes and Milk Bar pie.

Ah, I get it! We did earn it the 1st time we played there & weren't able to use the vouchers. I was excited thinking we could do it again! Thank you for clarifying & I truly do appreciate all your great tips!

Hi Parker! If you didn't redeem it I'd ask. I have read others on this board who never redeemed it and were able to on a later trip. I'd just let them know you just found out about it but never redeemed it....as long as you never had them give you a voucher, you might be in luck!

I'm not usually a fan of Vegas buffets, but Wicked Spoon was terrific.
