7 of us are planning to watch the Super Bowl in Vegas this year. We have reservations right now at TAP and Pub 1842.

    Any opinions on both places?

    Thanks!

I was at the Tap two years ago watching a Thursday night football game. The food and drink were decent and the prices were okay. There are lots of tvs and we had a good time.

The only kicker was that we sat at the front by the open window space close to the casino floor. The sports book is right there and their tv's were maybe 30 to 45 seconds ahead of the tv's where we were so the guys were out there cheering or booing before we knew what was going on.

Haven't been to Tap, but have been to Pub 1842 many times. No complaints. Fun atmosphere, good beer choice and the fried pickles are really good!

Food's better at TAP, and it's probably more conducive to sports watching (bigger and more TV's). I've eaten a couple times at 1842 and wasn't impressed either time.

It's unanimous... I prefer watching sporting events at TAP. Their selections of beers on tap is larger (I believe) and their scotch selections are decent too. I prefer sitting at the bar in the back near where they prepare the food as it's more comfortable and you can see most of the TVs from that view point.
