  1. GOING CRAZY!!!!!! How unfair that the week leading up to Vegas takes 1 year, and the week IN Vegas takes 1 hour!?!?

Sorry--had to vent (this is the only place I know where everyone understands).

Please, everyone, give me your tricks for surviving the pre-trip week.

I hear ya! Got a serious case of Vegasitus too!

Keep surfing the boards (while trying not to get fired!) And playing computer simulations of all your favorite games!

Yep. Been playing blackjack and vp on the computer to work on basic strategy. Been surfing and making notes on the to-do list. Been getting some walking in on the new Most Comfortable Shoes in the World. Been listening to Rat Pack at the Sands, Elvis, big band jazz, whatever says 'vegas' to me.

And when all else fails, I go to webshots.com and look for some new, hi-res pics of the FSE or the strip hotels to stare at for a while -- 'vegas porn'. ;)

    8 days and counting...

Only 1 day & change for me as well.

Tonight: ROUNDERS and downloading favorite trip reports and coupons
Tomorrow night: CASINO, packing, and downloading of the hallowed A boarding pass.

I second that. It's nice to know that I'm not the only crazed Vegas addict out there. That's one of the reasons I joined this group-and also because I thought I was the only one who counted down days, hours, etc, until Vegas! I was driving my coworkers crazy for a while there. I prepare for my trip by watching movies like Rounders, Oceans 11, and Casino. I also start what I call "Vegas Training" about 2 weeks before I leave- I gradually increase my alcohol and nicotine intake. Kind of like training for a marathon but better.
There is one thing worse than surviving the last week BEFORE Vegas, and that's surviving the first week AFTER Vegas. We just got back on Thursday, and I've been moping around the house ever since. I'm sitting in school now thinking to myself, "A week ago at this time I was in Vegas". [IMG]
The only thing that's going to get me through this tough time is making plans for my next trip in February.

I'm jealous of everyone getting back to Vegas before my next trip in June. Still have about 5 weeks to go. I'm also thinking about getting myself a CD player and picking up some Vegas music like the Rat Pack at the Sands. How about some music recommendations to get the wife and I in the Vegas mood?

cruiser--being a cyber-moron, I don't know how everyone adds those neat links to these posts, but I did find some posts about Vegas music. Go to misc.vegas chat, and find a thread titled vegas music posted Nov. 8 2003 by eswort. There are a lot of good ideas, plus a link to another thread.

Man and I thought I was alone on this boat. We booked this trip in Feb & we figured the months would fly by ~!~~~~~ But nope still a couple weeks till Vegas! I really can't wait to get there, Haven't been there in about a year since my sisters wedding & that trip was 5 days. This time we are going for 4 days & i feel I should have booked it longer! OH well - Vegas is almost here -- I am going crazy ........

Talked to my buddy yesterday. On top of the regular IT madness, he's trying to fix a major network problem, and all the regional sales staff is in town wanting stuff done to their laptops in the next couple days. "But this time next week," he tells me, "I won't even know my own name..."
